While Dr. Sujal Shah is an expert at what he does, I am not too sure if I can say the same thing about his attitude and approach towards patients raising legit questions to him.
I got my LASIK done from him on 7th September 2012. Everything was perfectly fine until 6 months back where I had issues with seeing things far off. I was in the US and got my eye tests done. Upon testing (with a leading ophthalmologist), it was found that I have regained some power in each of my eyes.
On reaching India (2 months later), I met Dr. Sujal Shah thrice.
In the first meeting, he made me go through a bunch of tests (again, which you all know cost a whole lot) and prescribed some eye drops saying that I was suffering from dryness in my eyes which was affecting my vision. I bought those eye drops and used them on schedule, every single day (as prescribed) until I met Dr. Shah in our second meeting. Upon meeting the second time, it was the same story again and he asked me to continue with the drops suggesting that my eye powers have improved since last time. I continued as prescribed and them met him the third time.
The third instance was the worst experience I have had with any doctor, ever in my life. I mentioned to him that despite using the dryness drops, it has not improved my vision one bit. He was so adamant and rude, and told me and my husband that we "don't understand science and can do whatever we want". He said and I quote him - "If you feel you have power and need to wear glasses, go for it. I still don't think you have any power. My LASIC was successful"
So much arrogance for a brand value one holds?
How can a doctor just deny the results of the eye tests just to prove his own work? And this is what you get in return for spending a bomb (for his face value) - Just one arrogant answer and NO solution?
We understand that LASIK's can fail and we were visiting Dr. Shah to get a follow-up and see if we need to get some enhancement done so that my issue can be fixed. But what we got in return was an extremely defensive and obtrusive response from a "well-known" doctor. :(
Utterly disappointed. Will NEVER go back again and surely will NOT recommend anyone in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a pleasure to write something nice about Dr Sujal. I have known him since school though I had no inkling that I would become his patient one day.
I had thick glasses in school and wore contact lenses later on. I dreamt of the day I would be free of my dependence on glasses and lenses.
I met Dr Sujal regarding the same. He performed all the tests on my eyes and explained the available options for correction. Needless to say, he is an expert on the subject and I trust his judgement completely. I underwent LASIK in February 2010. The feeling I had is indescribable...I felt as if I were reborn! Such joy to simply get up in the morning and see so clearly!
To this day, I remain indebted to Dr Sujal for this invaluable gift. What a difference it has made to my life!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It has been exactly a week since I got my Lasik (Smile) done from Samyak Drishti & it has been a very smooth journey. It started with us visiting Dr. Manisha to check if I was eligible for the procedure. With all due diligence, they concluded that I qualified. However, being usually uncomfortable with any medical procedure, Dr. Manisha & Dr. Sujal walked me through the nitty gritty of the whole procedure. They ensured I was aware and rest assured at every step in process, to the extent that Dr. Manisha also accompanied me in the operation theatre while Dr. Sujal did the Lasik. Very comforting & kind! :) I still visit them for my post Lasik check ups and everything seems great till now. Very happy to have made the decision to get this done from them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Haphazard management. Total confusion amongst staff members.
1) I wasnt given hard copies of the reports of several tests done. Mentioning that printer wasnt connected and they would email me. I waited fr 2days for the report and it wasnt emailed. On the 2nd day when i called and informed, incorrect reports were emailed to me. I mean i have to go thru so much followup fr simple reports. Had they been printed and goven, things woukd be so much smooth.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely can find better eye clinics. Very unprofessional, unethical trade practices, not worth. Be careful especially with one peon Ali who has no manners, courtesy or code of conduct. Instead of fixing the problem he will suggest you go find another clinic to get your eyes checked.
