I tried calling them in an emergency situation, but not a single contact number for this hospital works. All the contact number provided on the hospital hand book and the reports, dose not work. What a pathetic and lenient behaviour from the hospital team, that they are not even updating accurate contact numbers online or anywhere so that paitent can atlest contact or book an appointment in case of emergency. Very unprofessional.

I want to highlight the horrifying experience that we went through last couple of days. Our 20 month old daughter was admitted to Sangamnerkar Hospital, Wadgaon Sheri, Pune due to acute lung infection on recommendation of our doctor. But those 3 days were one of the worst hospital experience of our lives. Let me detail my experience with solid points - 1) We were admitted on Sunday. I know it's an off day, but this is a 24x7 hospital I believe. There was no one at the reception. The pharmacy was closed. 2) On admission, no rule book or hospital guidance was provided. 3) Since the pharmacy was closed, they asked us to get the medicines urgently from outside. I had to search the entire area to get the medicines for my daughter. What good is a hospital pharmacy if it is closed when needed. 4) On Monday morning my daughter was crying in hunger at 8 am. But they could not provide her breakfast on time. It eventually came at 930 am, by when it was too late. 5) Once when we asked to reheat the food for the baby they flat refused. They did so only after I complained and raised a ruckus in the hospital. 6) There is no dietician in the hospital. So they generally provide the same food to everyone, and it is generally spicy for the babies at least. 7) Initially on Sunday and Monday, there was noone to record temperature of the baby. It was only when we asked nurses for thermometer that they provided us. That too they had just one thermometer on each floor. We had to monitor her for fever ourselves. Then on the next 2 days when we complained, they did so in a completely ad hoc manner. coming into the room anytime to check temperature and pulse, irrespective of if the baby is sleeping or not. 8) Some nurses who are all junior doctors are still learning and have very little experience working with babies and children. And this is a children hospital. We found an open syringe on the baby's bed which may have fallen off maybe sometime earlier..but it was only when we saw it that they realized it. A disaster averted. The saline flow was not established properly a couple of times, it was leaking at times and wasn't flowing some times. There were no reminders for medicines. That was all our job supposedly. 9) There was no timely cleaning of rooms or change of bed sheets. It was only done when we asked them to do, that too multiple times. 10) The pharmacy is a joke. It is closed half the time. They ask you to pay upfront for non-deductible items like syringes and saline bottles, which is stupid. This should be settled at discharge. They could not provide me with a basic sanitary pad at night for which I had to go outside leaving my baby upstairs with my husband. Around midnight when 2 more patients were admitted, they requested us to provide them the medicine that we had purchased earlier from outside, since the pharmacy was of course closed as usual. I later learnt that the pharmacist was ill. They had no backup. 11) The rooms were of average quality which is Ok. But there was no clock in the room and the nurse calling bell did not work at all, which is really problematic and unacceptable. The TV wasn't working on Sunday. There was no internal contact numbers provided to us for anythig. This was their most premium room. 12) The hospital owner came to meet us when we raised all these complaints. But she was defensive about the hospital. At one point she blankly said that this is not a hotel. I know that. But we never asked for a hotel service. All we asked was for basic patient care since you anyways charge money for that. She said that no one else has complained and its only us who are facing all these issues somehow. I said that maybe your other patients think that such service is acceptable but I don't think like that, especially when I am paying you without any questions asked. 13) The admin people came for feedback on the day of discharge. All they said was ki madam, ho jaata hai. Wonderful reply really.
