Joined Sangeet Sadhana in the month of August, since then it has been a beautiful journey. Love for Hindustani classical music has become more. With Swati Ma’am we had our orientation for a month and then next phase starts with Debojyoti Sir. Debojyoti sir gives us every right direction for practice and new learning. From saragam to raga’s every with lot of patience and individual attention. He has very unique way of teaching and also the knowledge of music and way to make us practice is also very good. He is a very good teacher and mentor to guide us as most of us starting at late age. Recommend Sangeet Sadhana to everyone who is very keen to learn music.

I joined Sangeet Sadhana 5-6 years back then there was a gap of 3-4 years as I was out of town for a long time. Last year I joined the school again and started learning vocal music which has proved like a God’s blessing on me. Teaching from the Gurus in Sangeet Sadhana is not only the knowledge of Hindusthani Classical music but it’s like a dose of divine medicine for the well being of body, mind and soul. My learning music in Sangeet Sadhana has enabled me to understand music, appreciate it’s divine art and express my emotions through singing. Efforts taken by the teachers, especially Anindita Madam are really commendable. She gives us an excellent presentations of beautiful compositions in various Ragas. She unfolds the beauty of Raag so efficiently through many vistaars, alaps and various types of taans, boltaans etc. These wonderful demonstrations make it easy and very interesting to understand the mood of Raag, its chalan, flow of swaras with it’s popular phrases. In addition during teaching she clarifies various techniques like khatka, murki, meend with knowledge of different taals. Here in Sangeet Sadhana school,we get an opportunity to learn not only the classical music but other forms also like Ghazals,Bhajans,Thumri with different types of light music forms. Overall experience of learning music in Sangeet Sadhana is very enjoyable and meditative at the same time.In short I can say “ It's a blessing to be a part of Sangeet Sadhana.”

It's been two years that I am associated with Sangeet Sadhna.I really want to thank Sangeet Sadhana for providing me with an environment full of encouragement and constant learning. From not knowing anything about swars raaga and different scales. I have come a long way and I am forever grateful that I am able to attempt something learn and enjoy in everyclass. I eagerly wait for the classes everyday..Never thought I would be this involved in music. It's the best place for learning music I am glad I made a choice to join Sangeet Sadhana.

I have been learning Hindustani Music in Sangeet Sadhana for past 5 years and the learning experience has been very good. I can see significant improvement in my voice quality as well as Gayaki. The compositions taught by Anindita mam in the advance classes are extremely beautiful as well as challenging. They are compositions sung by stalwarts like say - the well known “Lat uljhi Suljha ja” in Behag by Bade Gulam Ali ji to the melodious Bageshri Bandish - “Kaise Kate Rajani” by Ustad Amir khan ji to Vidushi Kishori Amonkar’s divine rendition - “Sahela Re”. Also mam’s focus on getting the Raag bhav and Shrutis correct - means we spend months mastering the same Raag in class. Also mam insists Boltaans and Vilambit compositions which means with right practice people can master coordination between sur and taal. And when we are done with the serious stuff - there is also discussions about best food joints in Koramangala and the planning for a early morning breakfast treat for the class. All in all if you are devoted to classical music, have discipline and patience and willingness to work very hard - this is a great place to learn music -irrespective of whether you are a beginner or an advanced student of music.

I was looking for good Hindustani classical music classes for my daughter for sometime. My search ended at Sangeet Sadhana. My daughter started learning music from June 2021 and I am impressed with her progress. The best part is she starts her practice at morning and evening on her own without us asking. This shows she is enjoying the music she is being taught. Neha Ma'am pays individual attention to each child and explains the technical, theoretical aspects in simple way which is interesting for the young kids. I wish all the success to Sangeet Sadhana and their students.

Its been more than 25 years since I have completed Sangeet Prabhakar. After completion of Sangeet Prabhakar I wanted to continue music and earn a Master’s degree, but couldn’t get it as we were getting transferred to different cities quite frequently. Finding a good music school and completing the course was hence becoming quite difficult. After shifting to Bangalore, Google search helped me find Sangeet Sandhana and I immediately joined the institution. It was like a rebirth of my musical journey. Here, all Gurus are knowledgeable and talented. Thanks to Swathi mam, I managed to revise classical music very quickly and without much hassle. Currently I am learning classical music under Ananditha mam. I enjoy her brief demonstrations with multiple variotions of raags, among which Raag “Sohini” is my personal favourite. In this institution apart from khayal we also learn semiclassical music like Tappa, Thumeri, Bhajan, Ghazals etc. I am really grateful to be part of this institution.

My experience with Sangeeth Sadhana It has now been more than 5 months since I joined Sangeeth Academy to learn Hindustani Music (vocal). Let me tell you I am enjoying it thoroughly. I am a senior citizen and I was hesitant to start learning classical music at this age, but my elder brother Venkatesh joined and infused me with enthusiasm to take up the challenge. Covid situation also egged me on to join online classes. I took the plunge and have no regrets whatsover! I find that these classes are conducted very well inspite of all the constraints which one encounters online. The teacher assigned to our class, Swathi Madam, is a wonderful teacher. The students in this group sing in different scales and are talented differently and sing in their own unique styles. Most of us in this group are in senior age group and with age comes set ways. Swathiji is able to deal with all this very gracefully, She is teaching all age groups and definitely she has to change her tactics with every group. Sometimes small kids who would have missed classes join our group to complete certain lessons. I have noticed how she handles them so sweetly and yet there is a touch of firmness which does not allow them to take liberties. Coming to us, she has to deal with a different lot! She is able to understand our subtle issues of age and other commitments and accordingly puts the right amount of pressure on us to learn. We are learning and at the same time we look forward to her classes. Our interactions in the class is very lively and all of us have a passion for music which becomes evident in the class. Some lessons on Swars and Alankars can become too technical and boring, but she deftly makes it very game like and interesting! She teaches us some lovely bhajans in her beautiful voice, which is mesmerizing. She leads by example. She does not take any credit for her lovely singing, she gives it all to her Guru, her Ma'm, whose name she does not utter. Through her attitude she is passing on our ancient culture of Guru Parampara to the students she tutors, in a very subtle way. In conclusion, I am very happy I joined Sangeeth Academy and would say they are doing something wonderful by bringing classical music to people's home in such an effortless way! It seems effortless to us, but lot of thought and effort would have gone behind the scenes! My sincere gratitude to all them!! Namana Karath Shree Guru Charana! With best regards Susheela Rao
