Well to be honest i was definitely cheated on for the quality. Being in a hurry as i had to catch a flight from delhi the same night, i did not have time to scrutinize the quality of the fabric. Took the word of the owner (Royce is what he told his name was). On reaching home, i checked the shawls. For a bill of 9000 for two shawls , one for 5500 ( no discount because of policy) and the other for 3500. Will not critique on the one i paid 5500( which definitely was atleast 3000 bucks over priced) because it was a piece i had to buy for someone else and also it was selected based on the photos i had sent to my friend. But the other shawl, a basic shawl which is hand made pure wool was available to me at the himachal emporium for 3200 , i bought it here for 3500 because i was in a hurry. I also told the owner ki bhai dont dont me a discount, and i will also not bargain, but just give me the right price and pure quality. He gave me all the assurances, told me how they produce all the fabrics in their shop at their own company, also that we send our shawls to a very reputed boutique store in Pune (Myraa) . Well i had to trust him because i was late and i did not have the time. On checking this shawl closely, i could see white polyester threads sticking out of the stitching. Pulling at it, they broke like plastic. I had specifically asked him if this was polyester mix, to which he replied no sir we keep only pure wool. Not only was this shawl a polyester mix, but also it was machine made and the cost of this shawl mind you is 1200 at the himachal emporium. I just want to say one thing, being cheated for poor quality and also money is not going make that big a whole in my pocket or cause me to lose a nights night over it, but as a message to Royce, brother respect and trust is what you really earn.

Edited after owner's response Original: The shopkeeper is a truly awful human being, a real lowlife, who lies and cheats blatantly about the quality of his products. You can buy similar quality, cheaper shawls a few shops down the road. Further, he has policies which are displayed nowhere on the shop for the customer, and therefore are known only to him which he makes up as is convenient. I feel cheated for my money, and shocked by the difference in his behaviour during and post the sale. Save yourself thousands of rupees and the mental frustration, and buy from down the street. Reply to owner: You're boasting about your quality, while admitting we had to exchange the piece because the shawl you gave us in the first place was faulty! (so weird flex but ok) What you're referring to as "ruckus" was in response to you refusing to exchange the faulty piece until 2pm. We had to leave Shimla before 2pm. Your policies are in violation of my statutory rights. Even if your "policies" are on the bill, and you admit to not giving us the said bill originally, so how are we supposed to know about these arbitrary, irregular policies? I have a video of your shop, a recording of the exchange, which shows there's no signage of these policies and the rude manner in which you spoke to us. Thanks for nothing.

This a cheat place, if u want to get looted go to this place. This is run by a old man, thinking that he's telling truth I bought 4 to 5 shawls, he sold me at an exuberant price telling these are sold at Delhi market at 25000+ each and its unique and he only designs all the shawls available there and he used to teach in one of the fashion school. He also told lies that he supplies to soch stores etc... I came into his talks and believed and spent almost 20,000/- on the shawls ..which is worth 7 to 8000/-. Hopeless and worst old man.
