About Sketches Montessori School
While we knew a bit about the Montessori approach already from our time living abroad, our need at hand led us to research about it in greater detail and it became clear as to why it is one of the most popular methods for alternative education across the world and while it originated over 100 years ago, why it is still so relevant in the current times. We rekindled our search for a Montessori school in Noida this time - only to find a bigger disappointment in store for us. Just like Yoga, Montessori is a philosophy and has not been trademarked. Montessori pedagogy is deeply rooted in child developmental psychology and if practiced in the right way with children, it offers a truly transformative learning experience for the child.
Montessori education has existed as a strong movement in India for over 70 years but North India particularly, is flooded with distorted or inauthentic versions driven by the lack of understanding among educators, unaware parents, misinformation spread by schools, blatant commercialization of education, franchising models etc. Just as it is futile to do yogasanas as a set of exercises in a gym, so is the mindless deviation & distortion of Montessori practice from the original method. It was really sad to note gross deviations by schools who proudly claim to follow this method in their pedagogical approach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As of now,the concept of Montessori has not gained much popularity in India but it will I firmly believe in due course of time due to the contributions of Miss Niti Gupta and Mr Nishant Gupta for having begun an authentic Montessori school in Noida.
If a flower does not bloom we change the environment.
Montessori provides the perfect learning environment for children to learn and aquire new skills. Their communication skills improve dramatically and they develop the skills which are not only essential for school but also for leading a successful life.
Under the guidance of Miss Shalini and Miss Bhavana(Both highly trained and experienced Montessori teachers) I saw them creatively exploring their surroundings.
The Directress there has a very understanding behaviour and keeps in mind the specific needs of each child.At Montessori,children are not bound by any limits and can everyday do whatever they wish to do without any hesitation. I firmly believe that in a few years,this kind of schooling will change the basis of teaching and the concept of rote learning will gradually diminish from our society.
I even saw parents learning a lot for instance how to handle cranky kids.
At Montessori we work to find the cause of every problem rather than finding solutions for the symptoms. We learn how the children’s subconscious minds work and also learn to be kind,loving and gentle towards them without pressuring or trying to mould them into something that they are not.
They can be the best version of themselves rather than an imitation of someone else and can beresponsible citizens of our society and also independent ones.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter has been going to Sketches from July last year. I have noticed a positive change in her. She has become much more patient and calm. She has become more observent. I highly recommend Sketches, as I think it is the only Montessori in Noida that follows the actual Maria Montessori method. The way the kids are taught is really interesting. The level of patience that each directoress has is note- worthy. The environment and the materials used is totally child friendly. Niti and Nishant have done a commendable job in creating such an learning environment for the kids in Noida. Sketches helps in making the child a complete human being. In the last few years, numerous preschools in Noida have made the claim to follow the “Montessori Method”. However, most of them don’t have a clue about the method and are only trying to cash in on the Montessori name (which has recently started becoming popular in North India). On the contrary, Sketches is at the forefront of establishing the Montessori Method in Noida. It is a welcome whiff of fresh air in the local preschool market that is currenty saturated with highly standardized cookie-cutter playschools that offer a “one size fits all” approach. Sketches offers a highly individualized and intimate learning environment where children receive unparalleled personal attention from their teachers and learn at their own pace.
How do I know Sketches is authentic? Because I attended a very well-respected Montessori school in Kolkata myself (30+ years ago). I send my twins to Sketches and have been very impressed by the management and staff who have consciously chosen to keep a small class size to ensure quality time, care, and attention to your little ones.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sketches is the Only school which follow genuine Montessori education system near Indirapuram.The ambience I saw at Sketches Montessori was the most inviting and inspiring among the many schools I have seen. The classroom and the play area are well equipped and shall certainly fulfill child's learning needs. My son had a wonderful and fulfilling time.

I was very disappointed with my search until I spoke to the founders of Sketches Montessori.
After visiting Sketches, it took me no time to take a decision on getting my kids enrolled with them. I am glad I took that decision as I can see how an authentic Montessori school can shape a little one’s idea of learning anything and everything with so much excitement. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sketches Montessori I would say is really an authentic Montessori which is actually 100% Child Centred. My 2.6 year old daughter is going to Sketches from last 3 months. In her Parent Child session we were very happy to see the kind of environment she is working with it was amazing to see her doing activities with so much of independence, discipline and interest.
Would definitely recommend Sketches as the best place for children because it is the place where children can work according to their own pace and listen to themselves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son has been enrolled with sketches Montessori since 2019 - effectively the entire pandemic period. I could not have asked for a better school for my son during this time. My son doesn’t get bored with the online classes at all since the teachers engage the kids with interesting and educational activities. There is individual attention in class, which I feel has really helped him learn so much. He is not even 5 years old but can read two to three letter Hindi and English words. He in fact loves the maths and science activities. Story time encourages children to recite stories as well rather than only listening. Overall, I am more than happy with Sketches and so thankful that we came here for our son.
