As far as my opinion is concerned i would not recommend anyone to join toastmaster unless you don't have enough knowledge of speaking English publicly.

I started my Toastmasters Journey at SDTM. It has been almost 3 years now and I can proudly say that this is one of the best investments I have ever made in myself

One of the most professional and friendly toastmasters club I've been to in a while. Like all the toastmasters clubs across the globe, south Delhi tmc has its own inspirational vibe.

Before I joined South Delhi Toastmasters club I visited almost all clubs in Gurgaon and created a list of clubs to visit in Delhi before joining . I never got to go other clubs as SDTM was everything I needed in my Toastmasters club. Right amount of enthusiasm, competition and encouragement. The only pre-requisite is you need to be serious about your development.

The South Delhi Toastmasters club is one of the best cubs in the city. I have been a member of the club for the last 1.5 years and have seen extensive growth in my public speaking and leadership abilities. SDTM, as it's commonly known as, is a Toastmasters club. I'll keep this as simple as possible without going too in detail. Toastmasters is a forum. A forum where speakers, beginners and experienced alike can attend to hone their speaking skills. For people's benefit, let me share my observation of a regular Toastmasters meeting: A (standard) toastmasters meeting should go something along the lines of this: The president starts off the meeting (with the help of his executive committee; sergeant-at-arms, vice president etc.) with some wise words, usually a short inspirational speech 2. Next the president hands over to the Toastmaster of the Day (a preselected toastmaster who conducts the meeting). The TMOD gives a 3-4 minute speech on the theme of the day. 3. The TMOD then introduces the role players which include: Timer: times the prepared speeches Grammarian/word critic: corrects grammatical mistakes and suggests better word usage 'Ah' counter: counts the number of short pauses, long pauses made by speakers General evaluator: evaluates the overall meeting All these role players are preselected in the previous meeting, toastmasters volunteer to play roles to learn the skills 4. Next the meeting proceeds to the project speeches (the most important of the meeting). Most meetings include 1 - 5 prepared speeches (toastmasters provide their names in the previous meeting). These speeches range from project 1 to project 10 each one with a different requirement. 5. Once the speeches are complete each speech's evaluator gives an evaluation speech on the project speech depending on which project number it is, along the lines of the requirements. 6. After the evaluation, each role player gives their report 7. Towards the end there is a table topic session where toastmasters can select a speech topic and have to give a 2 - 3 minute impromptu speech 8. The general evaluator gives his/her report at the end of the meeting and finally the president concludes the meeting Again, I haven't included specific details and also the table topic session could be held before the speech session but this all depends on the Toastmasters club.
