★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Temple is also called Chaitygiri & is run by Sri Lankan Mahabodhi Society. Foundation stone was laid by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. It houses the relics of two Disciples of Guatam Buddha namely - Sariputta ( or Shariputra ) and Modgalyana( or Maudgalyana ). Beautful paintings of Buddh & his life & times. One can sit here for meditation for awhile.
Open daily 6 am to 8 pm. No camera allowed inside.
