★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DWARHATTA IS MORE OR LESS 60KM AWAY FROM KOLKATA IN SRIRAMPUR BLOCK OF HOOGLY DISTRICT. AND SRI SRI DWARIKA CHANDI TEMPLE IS ONE OF THE MAIN ATTRACTION TO VISIT DWARHATTA. IT WAS BUILT BY THE ANCESTORS OF THE MOHINI MOHAN SINGHAROY. IT WAS BUILT IN THE YEAR 1126 BUT REBUILT IN THE YEAR 1413. THE TEMPLE RESEMBLES A TRADITIONAL BENGALI HUT (ATCHALA TYPE) WITH A FACADE RESTING ON TRIPLE ARCHED ENTRANCE DOORWAY. IT WAS FACING TO EAST. THERE WAS A "PANCHAMUNDI" ASON IN THE BACKYARD OF THE TEMPLE AND A POND ALSO. THE MAIN IDOL OF THE TEMPLE IS FOUR HANDED MAA DURGA WITH HER DAUGHTER AND SONS.A NICE PLACE TO SPEND TIME WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. THE TEMPLE IS PROPERLY CLEANED AND NOT TOO CROWDED. ANYONE CAN REACH THIS TEMPLE BY TRAIN OR ROAD. IF YOU ARE COMING BY TRAIN THEN YOU HAVE TO GET DOWM HARIPAL STATION AND FROM THERE TAKE A TOTO.
