★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I asked for Thane SPCA service for a stray dog near our society. On whatsapp, i had given the request, they called in the morning and promptly sent their ambulance to treat the dog. They charge 500 Rs for medication but it is worth it and appreciate their dedication and prompt service. In thane area if you do see a stressed animal please dont hesitate to call them. Thank you again for the service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely they are doing a great job. But sometimes they disappoint very big. Like in emergency in the night post 9pm no vet is available. And when you want to rescue any stray dog who is injured very badly then they are not always reachable and on top of that they ask us to drop the dog to their place which becomes very difficult. But this is not always and as they are doing a very generous job by taking care of so many ill pets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A stray dog four days back run over by n auto in Virar area around 6pm n in unberable pain was some how rushed to Thane SPCA around 4am as there is neither hospital nor any ambulance service for animals at Virar! I could manage to get one ambulance around 1am after trying for five hours! Since d dog was in unberable pain n bleeding tried to bite one of d ambulance driver as it was touched near d wound n got scared thinking d person tried to harm or kill as it was natural! But due to this without any diagnosis d doctor feared as it was rabies infected which wasn't so refused to hospitalize!! I had handled d dog before rushing to d hospital n even it was given four injections as firstaid by a vet at Virar n there were three to four other people who had handled d dog n none of them including me wete bitten by d dog! N on inquiry people in that area also confirmed along with d vet that he had never ever bitten anybody ever n was without rabies!!! But due to one person the doctor assumed that d dog might b rabies infected, without any diganosis n refused to hospitalize n finally the poor voiceless was left bleeding n suffering so much till morning in d ambulance only and it finally died around 11am!!! So it was from 6pm till next day 11am....after suffering so much for seventeen hours so badly the poor voicless had to lose life due to Negligence!!!! No doctor can ever leave someone like this to die n that too without any diganosis!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They don't even bother about stray dogs and cats. I called up for emergency case for one of a stray dog, the way they talk was horrible and says that it's not possible today we will try to come tomorrow or day after tomorrow we don't have that much time to do they treat..
Even for cat also because of them my 2 cats were died. They are unprofessional.
If you loves you pets and stray dogs & cats please it's a request don't take them to SPCA.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a good hospital but now it's a completely different place. No sympathy for stray and I feel that they are just commercialising it.
Had a bad experience twice with a stray kitten. Both of them died due to negligence. They did nt even inform us about their dead, they kept telling on phone that the kitten is getting better. After we visited there post 2 weeks, the guys were confused on what to tell. Later one of the guys informed that the kitten passed away. This came as a shock to us as just a day before they told us that her health is improving. We asked them questions for which they didn't have any satisfying answers - Why did not they inform us about the kitten's death? How did she die when her health was improving? What exactly happened?
This was a very bad experience
If you are planning to visit, please check on these issues & make sure they give attention to your pet. Or better go to a private hospital.
We need more genuine care centers for our strays who actually care for them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can’t thank SPCA Thane enough for the wonderful work their team does. I don’t remember a single time when I’ve called them to treat the stray dogs in my society and they have not turned up. Their team is extremely professional and polite and are very understanding.
Thanks for bringing a positive change and giving a new ray of hope for the animals. God bless !
