They serve Dhakai Bengali cuisine. So, I have tried different bengali food specialties from their menu. I have ordered: Gondhoraj chicken fry - 170/- Fish fry with kasundi - 170/- Fish cordon bleu (H/F) - 130/240/- Loitta mach sheel e bata - 150/- Murgi sheel e bata - 160/- Kochu pata chingri bhapa - 170/- Plain rice - 80/- Bhoj special dhakai morog pulao - 250/- Bhoj special dhakai chicken roastroast with pulao - 250/- I really liked the bhoj special dhakai morog Pulao. I tried something like this for the first time. I heard it's a specialty of Dhakai cuisine, so I was excited to try. It came with one big chicken leg piece, an egg, a creamy thick gravy that was accompanied with a bowl of rice. I recommend everyone to try this dish. After this, the waiter pointed out three dishes from their bhoj non veg special section, which were Loitta mach sheel e bata, Murgi sheel e bata and Kochu pata chingri bhaa along with some steamed rice. I would say kouchu pata chirgri bhapa is a must try. Lastly, I tried another dish for the first time named fish cordon Bleu. It was mainly like a fry stuffed with bhetki fish and cheese, so this had a crispy outer layer yet a very soft inner stuffing. it was very tasty. Going through their menu, I noticed there is a Mahabhoj thali section where you can get different variety of thalis. From this section, I had ilish mahabhoj thali ( jumbo). It consist of 11 types of dishes only at 1080 INR. I think this thali is sufficient for two people. Overall, I think this is a good place to try bengali cuisine with some Bangladeshi twist in it. You guys can definitely visit!

Bhoj Company is very popular for their Bengali Cuisine. I was eagerly waiting to try out this place for a long time. Recently I visited their Sector 5 outlet. The ambience is super good and cozy, creating a bengali vibe with good music and decor. Coming to the food we had - Fish Fry - The Fish was thick and juicy with a crispy coating. Served with French fries. Must try. Shile bata chicken - The unique name caught my attention. Flavourful and spicy pasted chicken (with the help of shil nora) comes together with aromatic Indian spices and mustard oil. The dish was very tasty. I had it with both Luchi and Rice. Must try. Also had Aloor Dum with Luchi, go to go dish for every banagli. Mutton Kosha - Mutton Kosha is an iconic bengali delicacy. The dish was perfectly made. The Mutton pieces were very tender and spicy. Polao and Mutton Kosha is definitely a must have combo here. Daab Chingri - Small prawns cooked in coconut paste, mustard and turmeric inside Daab (coconut shell) is an eye-catching as well as very popular bengali dish. It tasted really good with rice. Kochu Pata Chingri Bhapa - The amazing combination of Kochu patta, Chingri, posto, mustard oil, has made this dish a gem of Bengali food. It tasted yum with rice. Ended on a sweet note with Roshomalai, which is also recommended. Each and every item are lip-smacking of this place. Highly recommended. The service was very courteous.

I recently visited this new outlet of Bhoj Company after hearing some great reviews. The restaurant is divided into two floors. The ambience is bright and colourful. I started with Fish Cordon Bleu. This had bhetki stuffed with molten cheese with a crispy coating. It tasted heavenly. I tried the combo of luchi with aloo dum. This was very well made. I also tried the authentic Tangra style Chilli Chicken. This was my favorite. The chicken was soft and very juicy. I also tried their thali. I loved the combo of Pulao with Mutton Kosha. Their signature Kochupata Chingri Bhapa was amazing. I also liked the Shorshe Katla. The fish was fresh and tasted great. Also, I would recommend to try the chutney here. It was a perfect sweet ending to our meal.

There are many places in Kolkata that serves you authentic bengali cuisine food along with Bengali thali. But very few places serve Bengali cuisine with authentic Bangladeshi touch in it. The Bhoj Company is one of those rare places that serves you the fusion of Bengali and Bangladeshi cuisine. So few days back I visited there latest outlet, which is at Sector V, Salt Lake City, besides the Infinity Benchmark building, just beside Kareem's and Brewhive. So we had a lot of authentic bengali cuisine food, among which there there was sheel e bata murgi, kochu pata bhapa chingri, sheel e bata loitte, dhakai morog pulao and many more. I will start with the luchi- aloor dum. Bengalis love to have gorom-fulko luchi with traditional bengali aloor dum. In aloor dum, most of the time the aloos doesn't get boiled properly. I was happy to see that the aloo was perfectly boiled. They used small aloos and cut them into half. What I was expecting in the aloor dum was peas, as this is the perfect season for it. Then I tried the Sheel-E-Bata Murgi and Sheel-E-Bata Loitte with steamed rice. I loved the sheel-e-bata murgi, the flavourful and spicy chicken kosha fused with aromatic Indian spices. I had lots of sheel-e-bata murgi and rice, so tried a little bit of the Loitte, it was also good in taste and flavourful. After this, we jumped into the Dhakai Morog Pulao and Dhakai Chicken Roast. Dhakai morog pulao, as the name suggests originated from Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is not at all a spicy dish, but is rich in flavor, aromatic and very succulent from the onions (in the form of beresta) and chicken. The dhakai morog pulao was served in two different bowls, one had the dhakai pulao and the other had the dhakai morog and boiled egg in it. Though they were separated by two containers, it is served as a one-fish meal. The Dhakai Chicken Roast was a new item that they launched after opening this new outlet. It can also be ordered as an individual dish or with the dhakai pulao, which they call as Bhoj Special Dhakai Chicken Roast with Pulao. Dhakai chicken roast is a dish of succulent chicken legs fused with caramelized onions, touch of malai and ghee, and melange of roasted spices. My expectations from this dish was high, I expect it to be a thick gravy dish but it was not. I am not saying that the taste was bad, but it was not like the authentic Dhakai chicken roast. So first I will talk about the Ilish Mahabhoj Thali from The Bhoj Company, which consists of the following dishes: • Bhetki Fish Fry • Steamed Rice • Moong/Masoor Dal along with Lebu • Jhoori Aloo Bhaja • Aloo Posto • Kochu Pata Bhapa Chingri • Shorshe Ilish • Basanti Pulao • Mutton or Chicken Kasha (as per your choice) • Chutney • Mishti Doi • Mishti I will start with the bhetki fish fry, which was served along with french fries. The bhetki was extremely fresh, if you tear the fry, you will be able to see how much juicy the fish fry was. Then coming to the dal, you can choose whether you want Moong or Masoor Dal. The dal will be accompanied by lebu and Jhoori aloo bhaja, which makes the perfect combo. I am not at all a fan of aloo posto, so can't say anything about that. Then coming to one of the best thing that I had from this place, the kochu pata bhapa chingri. Kochu pata bhapa ching is an authentic bengali cuisine food, which was mostly made by our grandmothers, who mastered it. I was expecting the same kind of dish from this place, it was good but the pungency was too much. Then comes the MVP of this thali, i.e. jumbo Ilish. Shorshe ilish and hot piping rice is one of my favourite combos. Finally the Basanti pulao and mutton or chicken kasha will be there. You can choose among mutton or chicken, whichever you prefer. A Bengali thali is incomplete without chatni, mishri and Mishti doi. The ambience of this new outlet is quite beautiful. It is a two floored building with very cool, calm and comfortable atmosphere. The interiors are very beautifully decorated and because of the glass walls, you can see the outside scenes through them.

?Subho Panchami? ?So Durga Puja is just a day away, and everyone is busy finalizing all the plans altogether. So let me help you all a little if anyone is confused about choosing the best Bengali cuisine restaurant. For them, I will suggest The Bhoj Company. So whether you are planning to visit South or north, you will find a The Bhoj Company outlet always near you. ?The Bhoj Company branches are in Salt Lake Sec V, Dalhousie, Free School Street, and Lake Mall Food Court. ?So let me share my experience on my last visit to The Bhoj Company. The food was excellent and delicious, to be honest. Every food tastes like a little piece of paradise in every bite. Whether it be starters or desserts, you will be fascinated by the great taste of Bengali food with a little touch of modernism in it. ?I tried there Mohabhoj Thali, and one can choose their favorite fish along with the thali. Be it Prawn or Bhetki, and every food is very light and delicious. ?The price of the thali is just Rs 1160/- only. ?But I will recommend one to try Fish Cordon Bleu from their ala carte menu. Becki with cheese is a heavenly combination that one can give a try. My favorites are Dum Polao, Kosha Mansho (Mutton), Bhetki Fish Fry, and Nolen Gurer Ice cream. ?So experience the royal Bengali thali in The Bhoj Company. I hope everyone enjoys well in Puja while maintaining all the safety protocols.

Really disappointed. Below average. Bhetki paturi tasted like stale for many days, kochu chingri was like chewing rubber, illish was tasteless and saltless, with excessive oil. Bhoj company's this particular outlet is like a black sheep in their highly esteemed brand. Alas!

This is a good place to have Bengali Food. Even we can say they are specialized in East Bengal types of Menu. Tastes are good but lots of improvements are needed when it comes to authentic bengali tastes. Some bengali fish and mutton dishes tastes good but its kind of fusion types of tastes. We ordered Mutton Dakbanglo but its a kind of a fusion dish. Besides food I must appreciate the ambience and behavior of the staffs. A speedy service will be highly appreciable. ??
