It's difficulty level little high compared to other B tech/ BE programme,
Hence many drop it half the way as cowards. Those who fights and clear the course are not only the best Engineer but also are successful in life.
Many people are unaware of this course, so institution should keep on propagate it's aim and methodology widespread....

After qualifying 13 papers including projects work and laboratory experiments you can obtain equivalent BTech degree.IEI conducted exams in two sessions of summer and winters means you can appear two time in a year

The easiest way to pass this course is to follow the solved papers available in book stores for Sections A & B.

I got job in Kerala Govt for a mere degree level job in 1992 through Kerala Public Service Commission since Govt. of India has recognized that "a pass in Sections A & B of the Institution examinations are equivalent to degree". Later I got appointment as AE based on AMIE (I). It was my ambition to become an Engineer, eventhough my family financial background was not sound. But through IF(I) I have achieved my ambition. Since there is no moderation, only those whom has studied well and in depth knowledge of the subject studied only could pass the examinations. Moreover, by passing this examination one would get sufficient english language writing skill.

Genesis: After First World war, the Industrialization were on rise and the engineering activity took a positive shape in India. As a consequence, need was felt to uphold the quality in products and operations of the Engineering domain. Accordingly Government of India formed an Indian Industrial Commission under the Chairmanship Sir Thomas Holland, the then Commerce member of the then Govt. of India. The commission recommended the establishment of an Institution as a professional body of engineers to ensure advancement of technology and uphold the quality of products in various stages of production.
