Rice Bowl is an iconic place which many Bangaloreans have fond memories of. I recently revisited this restaurant with friends, after it had a makeover, and had a lovely experience. The interior is now brighter and better, and the menu sports some new dishes in addition to the old favourites. The staff's warm hospitality is the same as always. Some of the dishes here were misses, some were big hits. I especially loved the Singapore Paneer - it made for an absolutely delicious combination with the crackling spinach it was served with. The American Corn Salt & Pepper, Veg Fried Wontons and Mushroom Manchurian were very well done too. From the main course dishes we opted for, I quite liked the American Chopsuey and the Chilli Garlic Noodles. The beautiful Mango Cheesecake here ought to be given a special mention. Looking forward to visiting again and trying out more from the new menu!

The rice Bowl dishes out absolutely finger licking pan-Asian delicacies . This place has been my favourite pan-Asian restaurant ever since I visited it in the year of 2018. Recently I was here with a friend for a weekday lunch to try their new inclusions. Trust me, I enjoyed every single dish of my meal. Starting with the Manchow chicken soup, it was thick in consistency and has an adequate amount chicken, spring onions, cilantro and pepper. It was so fresh and delicious. Spicy guava is a mocktail which has an intense flavour of guava with a green chilli twist . I absolutely loved it. The moderately fried thread paneer was served with sweet sauce. It was crispy and tasted good . Chicken with crackling spinach is a unique and delicious combination of finely shredded, deeply fried spinach with fried chicken. The spinach was mildly sweet and packed with flavour. This starter is definitely a must try. Chicken garlic prawn is another dish that deserves a specific mention. Prawns were fried to perfection and has a pleasing flavour of garlic and chilli with mild sweet touch. This dish goes very well with drinks . They also serves one of the best Pad-Thai noodles in the city .That mildly sweet and spicy noodles with a twist of peanut and lemon tasted heavenly. Do not miss to try their mango cheesecake and Banoffee pie. I am certain that you will love it. Staff are very polite, welcoming and service was great. The portion sizes are generous and very filling. I would highly recommend you to visit this place to satisfy your pan-Asian cravings.

Being a bangalorean this restaurant has been always my first choice for Chinese. The new change in management and the ambiance with the new seating makes it interesting. I loved the Bonefi pie here ,but this time did not try as the sumptuous starters and the main course filled my stomach. Great place to relax and eat good Chinese with friends and family

The revamped Rice Bowl is back with a bang! Located on Lavelle Road, the restaurant is your definite go-to to satisfy all your Chinese craves. The seating is perfect for large gatherings, be it meals with family or a quick lunch from work. I'd visited recently for a table and got to try a bunch of things on their menu, and here are some must tries -the crackling spinach chicken [probably sounds like a weird combo, but the flavors will blow your mind!], the Tai Pai chicken and the fried wontons to get started with your meal. They also have a bunch of pork and beef options if that's to your liking. Not to forget, they also have some momos to go with your appetizers! Be it rice, noodles, or chop suey for the main course, they have you covered! Pair your dish with some shredded chicken in red and green chili sauce if you're the kind that likes to make things spicy! They even serve some lovely pad thai if you're in the mood for something that's not too heavy on your tummy. The Rice Bowl also serves liquor and cocktails, with seasonal specials on their menu too - Watermelon coolers, or good ol' Martinis. But the best part of the meal was dessert - I couldn't pick which was my favorite: the mango cheesecake, banoffee pie, and the caramel custard all had me satisfied, and wanting a bit more than I could handle! All in all definitely must be on your list for all your Chinese craves, a 4/5 for ambiance and the portions of food, value for money, and great service will keep you coming back for more.

One of the oldest (20+ years) and one among the top Chinese restaurant in Namma Bengaluru, this place has recently revamped their interiors (giving prominence to red color) and exhaustive menu. I got to visit this place with my friends for a weekday dinner and the place was almost full. We luckily got a table to accomodate 5 of us. We ordered: SOUP: βœ“ Manchow Soup - Delicious & soothing DRINKS: βœ“ Blue Hawaiian - Made of vodka, lemon juice, lichi juice, blue curacao & topped up with sprite. This unique drink complimented well with the starters served βœ“ Spicy Guava - Made of guava juice, lemon juice, tabasco sauce, oyster sauce, crushed black pepper chaat masala & pinch of salt. Must try for once STARTERS: Non-Veg: βœ“ Chili Garlic Prawns βœ“ Chili Mustard Fish βœ“ Crackling Spinach Chicken βœ“ βœ“ Tai Pai Chicken βœ“ Red & Green Chili Lamb βœ“ Steamed Chicken Momos Veg: βœ“ Singapore Paneer βœ“ Salt & Pepper American Corn βœ“ Mushroom Manchurian βœ“ Veg Fried Wonton βœ“ Crispy Veg Sesame Seed βœ“ Steamed Veg Momos MAIN COURSE: βœ“ Egg Schezwan Fried Rice βœ“ Chili Garlic Noodles (Veg) βœ“ Pad Thai (Veg) βœ“ Shredded Chicken in red & green chili sauce βœ“ Mixed Vegetables in hot garlic sauce βœ“ Chicken American Chopsuey Pad Thai Veg and Chicken American Chopsuey stood out for me, must try. DESSERTS: They being a Chinese restaurant, I never expected their desserts would also bowl me over βœ“ Mango Cheese Cake - Super soft and gooey with mango flavor bursting in the mouth in every bite. Must must try. Absolute treat to your palette βœ“ Banoffee Pie - Tried this for the first time and was quite impressed. Mildly sweet βœ“ Caramel Custard - Though I didn't tried this but got to know from my friends, it was good as well After heavenly starters and main course, these type of desserts would give a perfect ending to your meal. All in all, perfect place for dine-in with family & friends. Delicious food & drinks coupled with quick service makes it a hot choice for Chinese food lovers. Visit them to find out yourself.

This legendary place is synonymous withΒ  lip smacking desi Chinese food since a long time. Having earned its well deserved place amongst the top Chinese restaurants in the city, the outlet has recently gone through a menu revamp and ambiance renovation. Now it looks classier with an old world charm thats hard to come across these days. There is valet service available as well. I went here for a weekday lunch with a large group of friends. We relished a lot of their classic dishes accompanied by some well concocted drinks. Started off with the manchow soup which was warm and delicious. In drinks, I tried blue Hawaiian which had vodka, lemon juice, lichi, blue curacao and topped with sprite. Quite likedΒ  the cocktail and it went fabulously with the appetizers to come. Some other drinks I would recommend will be green apple martini, spicy guava and shirley temple. In the appetizers, we tried chilli garlic prawns, chilli mustard fish, crackling spinach chicken, tai pai chicken, redΒ  and green chilli lamb and steamed chicken momos. The veg folks ordered Singapore paneer, salt and pepper corn, mushroom manchurian, veg fried wonton and steamed veg momos. To be honest all the dishes were very delicious and on point when it comes to flavours. Still I would give a special shoutout to crackling spinach chicken, tai pai chicken and momos in non veg, and Singapore paneer, veg wonton and steamedΒ  momos in the veg section. Must have dishes here. In mains, the order comprised of egg schezwan fried riceΒ  chilli garlic noodles, pad Thai, shredded chicken in red and chilli sauce and veg American chopsuey. Noodles and pad Thai were too good and I couldn't stop eating them even after being completely full. I was not expecting much from the desserts but I was proved completely and utterly wrong. The mango cheesecake is an absolute treat. It should not be missed. The mango flavour is bold and pronounced in it. Banoffee pie was not overly sweet and turned out to be quite enjoyable . Caramel custard was decent as well. Stellar desserts to end the meal on a high note. Overall, couldn't have asked for more.Β  Food and drinks were fantastic and the service was immaculate.Β  Bookmark and visit it at the earliest.Β  Highly recommended.

Being a bangalorean this restaurant has been always my first choice for Chinese. Visiting this place since 1993. The taste hasn't changed since then. The new change in management and the ambience with the new seating makes it appealing. It draws you in with its simplicity, elegance and warmth. Nestled off the shoulder of a busy main road, this is a quaint, idyllic spot that charms and entices you. Instantly took a liking to this place ! Stepping into this place is like zoning out of the chaos and tuning into something calm and positive. Love the spacious RED seating arrangements. I was in awe of the minimalism, aesthetic and the persona the resto creates. The ambience is simply too striking to ignore. The vibe is sexy and so intriguing. Ordered for "Tawa coconut chicken rice bowl" for 124β‚Ή via swiggy, can say the taste didn't disappoint me but the quantity delivered was a big shock. It's so less that even a light eater need minimum 2 bowls. Over all a descent try & wil order again next time.
