Amazing caves. From far, it does not look like something exciting. But once you reach the cave, you will be surprised to see the architecture of each of the caves, the water flow system, the design of each rest room, prayer hall etc. Tulja is one of the oldest caves in Maharashtra. The cave has circular Chaitya hall surrounded by twelve octagonal pillars around Stupa. These caves are one of the earliest caves of Junnar, excavated around 50 B.C. This Buddhist cave group consist of 11 caves. When you speak or sing while you are inside the Charity’s, you will hear a very powerful stereophonic sound reflection. This is a must see place when you visit Junnar. I would visit again and spend several hours in this cave.

Its one of the ancient caves. Refer attached photos for easy access. The best thing there is that one can hear sounds from shivneri fort. If someone speaks little louder at Shivneri fort you can hear very clearly on main hall in the cave. Roads are good. Only small patch once turned after shivneri is bad . Rest is excellent. No food stall or any shop or tapari nearby . Shivneri is approximately 4 km where everything is available.

One of the earliest caves of Junnar. One should visit this place when in Junnar. It is hardly 15 min climb by steps from base. Most important is do not smoke in this area and maintain discipline. Also you will find many birds like Indian Robin, Laughing Dove, Bulbul around if there is no much crowd and no noise.

It is one of the oldest rock cut cave in Maharashtra. Approch to the temple is beside varsubai temple on Junnar - Amboli road. The road is quite unlevel at beginning but gets tarred later. One need to park their vehicle near a big tree. The trail to the cave starts from beside the parking area. It takes around 10 - 15 mins max to reach the cave premise. There are in all 12-14 caves while few are left midway to the end.

One of the Best historical places to visit in junnar just beside shivneri fort , one must visit the place if visiting the junnar city, very soothing and peaceful environment in the Buddhist caves, tulja devi mandir is also attraction of the place. Without doubt go for it, just need 5-10 minutes to climb the mountain
