Not good to visit with family members. There are many fish stalls in the beach. They provides you chair and table to sit near the sea. They do not charge for sitting, you only need to buy fish items. The ambiance is good for young generation. If you are in a party mood and wants to spend some enjoyable time with friends and buddy then visit to Udaypur beach. Order some fish fry items, beer and hokkah. People call it 'Mini Goa'. But this beach is not so clean as New digha beach or Old digha beach.

Udaipur beach is considered to be an unexplored and virgin sea beach located on the border of Orissa. This beach is away from the crowd and surrounded by dense, tall casuarina trees along the shore

It was a great place earlier but now some local people trying to earn money in whatever way possible and made it a mess, total chaos We went during high tide, whole beach was under water. Local cheap people put some shades tables chairs and running business by their own. They have started to believe they own the beach, they own the sea and shadow. No one is allowed to even stand there without their permission. They are serving alcohol also there but that's also illegal, any time police might come and you have to be prepared to get some slang speech or even beating. Even they have unhealthy, dirty competition among each other. Once they have a got a customer, their job is done, they will try to get more customer and forget about the earlier customer. In a nutshell they have completely destroyed the natural beauty, created gang shown finger to the authority and the tourista

Well honestly, there are other better beaches in Digha than this. Personally I didn't like this beach that much. The atmosphere is not that good because you will find an abundance of drunkards doing all sorts of idiotic behaviour. So, if you're planning to travel with family, I would not recommend this place. But if you're planning to travel in a group with friends and wanna have some fun then, yeah. You could visit this place.

Udaypur Beach is situated at the border of West Bengal and Odisha. It will take you 15 to 20 mins from Old Digha to reach Udaypur beach. You can hire car, auto rickshaws and also Totos to reach the beach. Once you descend down to the beach, it's quite happening. The beach will be over crowded for sure if it's Saturday or Sunday. The moment you get down from your vehicle, you will find yourself surrounded by locals who will persuade you to avail their services which includes - sitting arrangements under shamianas and in the middle of the incoming waves (an out of this world experience), serving hard drinks (only beer) and they will also serve you mouth watering seafoods in reasonable prices. Make sure that you are not carrying any hard drinks openly to the beach since it will be confiscated by the local police and you will have to go through a great deal of ordeal to get it back. A word of advice - make sure you are aware of the fact whether high tide or low tide is going on during the time of your visit so that you can plan your sitting arrangements accordingly. If it's low tide, then try to sit as near to the sea as possible and if it's high tide then sit as far from the sea as possible.

Udaypur Beach is a great beach but it is not recommended for people below 18 years and with family members according to me. You can enjoy variety of fishes and prawns cooked and served immediately.

Not a very crowded beach like New or Old Digha, but a considerable amount of people do visit this place. Overall, the beach has a peaceful and serene environment. Sea food is available nearby and can be a very ideal place not sunset and photography.
