★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nice place. The rail station is almost not crowded at all the time except at the train times. There are a very few trains in this route. I visited it 3-4 times. There is drinking water facility, have toilets and a 2nd class waiting room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very clean Small Railway station.... Busses are also available for Durgapur, Andal and Ranigunj. Main problem for this station is that the no.of train here are very limited.You have to change the train from Andal to come here. The best way to reach from Howrah is Hool Express(Last stop Siuri) at 6.45 AM. The Hool Express from Ukhra to howrah at 2.30 PM.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ukhra railway station is a railway station of Andal-Sainthia branch line of the Asansol railway division connecting from Andal to Sainthia on the Sahibganj Loop line. This is under the jurisdiction of Eastern Railway zone of Indian Railways. It is situated beside Ukhra-Andal Road, Ukhra, Paschim Bardhaman district in the Indian state of West Bengal.
The Andal–Sainthia branch line was built in 1913. Electrification of Andal–Pandabeshwar section including Ukhra railway station was completed in 2010–11 and Pandabeshwar-Saithia route was completed in 2016.
