Preface: Freedom Fighter S. Mastan Singh Memorial Welfare Charitable Trust was formed in the memory of our Honorable Freedom Fighter S. Mastan Singh who was born in 1904 in a middle class family. He was inspired by the words of Neta Ji Subhash Chander Bose “you give blood, I will give you Independence,(Azadi)”, He joined Indian National Army and went to jail many times for liberation of India from British Rulers, Indian National Army supported JAPAN in II World War against Britishers. S. Mastan Singh with his companion soldiers passed a few months in thick forest/rainy season and survived by eating leaves and stems of trees in crisis period, even there was no Medicare facilities for their treatment. Some Indian National Army soldiers died in war and remaining were confined to jails. S. Mastan Singh was also confined to jail. When Britishers decided to leave India they released prisoners of war. India got independence in 1947, but no attention was paid towards Indian National Army Freedom Fighter Soldiers and they became penniless. Neta Ji Subhash Chander Bose might have died in Air Crash or went into oblivion. The family condition can be imagined of a soldier who fought for Independence without any salary or financial support. After many years petty pension was granted by Indian Govt. and gave title of Freedom Fighter to S. Mastan Singh. He worked hard for his family as well as for the welfare of society. He set many example of honesty. S. Mastan Singh a veteran Freedom Fighter died in July, 1983 as head of his small native village. It was the dream of S. Mastan Singh to develop Medicare facility for the people as he realized while he survived in the thick forests for few month without Medicare treatment. After his death this welfare Charitable Trust has been formed in the name of Freedom Fighter S. Mastan Singh memorial Welfare charitable Trust to make his dreams come true.
