I had tried to book a hotel in Mumbai on several occasions with this company based in India. I am a UK national and was introduced to Windex via a recommendation for a multi-city trip that included Mumbai and Sri-lanka; there were several issues with our booking from the beginning. The company was unprofessional as they, on several occasions did not give us correct payment details and calculated the exchange rates inaccurately to suit them; there were random foreign bank accounts they instructed us to make payment to, despite the website stating they have 'UK offices' of which I have seen no record of payment details.
Once we e-mailed the company to voice our concerns, the head of the company said he felt 'bitter' about our e-mail and clearly took our comments incredibly personally saying that we were worrying about 'a small amount of money....that most Indians would not worry about'; this is not only discriminatory but incredibly untrue. He went onto say he no longer wanted to do business with us in a very harshly-toned, personal e-mail.
This is an incredibly unprofessional company, and I have now booked with a British company for a far cheaper price (saving over £700) and whom are a lot more professional.
