Alfa Clinic - Bengaluru

I am very grateful & thankful to Dr. Fathima for her support and encouragement during my second pregnancy which went through successfully and I was able to deliver a healthy baby through the vbac procedure. I was admitted to Alfa clinic early morning on a Wednesday around 5:30 am late December last year presumably and was 2 cms dilated if I recall correctly, my contractions were gradually increasing. The doctor and the staff were very alert, helpful, cautious and were always on their toes as they visited the labor ward to check the dilation and baby's heart beat every hour. The doctor and the staff asked me to keep walking rather than sitting and going through the immense pain so that the size of the dilation increases for smooth delivery. By afternoon i was a few cms dilated and was not able to bare the pain anymore, so me and my husband decided to ask the doctor if we can go for c-section. My husband consulted the doctor almost immediately and literally had an altercation with Dr. Fathima as he could not see me suffer anymore but thanks to our doctor for being so patient and polite as the tempers had flared from both the sides earlier. The Dr. sat him down explained the procedure of a normal delivery and motivated him and said strictly that I was not going to go through a c-section once again. If I wanted to I can leave and go elsewhere (different hospital). The Dr. and the staff asked us to wait for a few more hours and be patient to avoid any complications whatsoever. Around 5 pm they had to give me glucose drips for energy as i had got tired due to lost of appetite because of the pain that I was going through. There were 3 patients in adjacent labor wards waiting for delivery on the same day and at the same time and I was getting tensed and panicking over the situation. Dr Fathima being herself handled this situation amazingly and was able to take care of all of us simultaneously. Around 9 pm i was fully dilated and the pediatrician was also present at the clinic to address all the patients and we were shocked as the delivery room was already occupied by another patient, I was sweating at this point in time was panicking at the highest level. Dr. Fathima being the superwomen came to our rescue and took a surprise decision by going forward with the delivery inside the labor ward itself. My husband and I were shocked by her decision and looked at each other in awe but nevertheless we had no chance of backing out so went through the delivery, soon we started with the procedure and both the doctors and the nurse staff encouraged me to push the baby out, unfortunately I was unable to and the everyone was getting worried and tensed, I was trying my level best but wasn’t able to push through. The doctor insisted that if I do not push out the baby anytime soon, the baby might start loosing the oxygen level and would face difficulties in future as there could be a lot of complications, finally i was able to give one big push and delivered vaginally to a beautiful baby girl on Dec /29/ 2021. My husband was also allowed and was present with me when I gave birth at the labor ward. My husband was so happy as we always wanted a baby girl. To be honest this could not have happened without the doctors and their amazing staffs support and encouragement. I am soo happy that i choose Alfa clinic for both of my pregnancies. If i would have gone to a different hospital they would have chosen c-section undoubtedly, since my First baby was delivered through the same procedure but not here at Alfa Clinic. Dr. Fathima waits and encourages natural labor delivery unlike any other place who opt for a c section giving various reasons and scaring the life out of you. She waits for you to go into the labor naturally and does not go for a c-section unless and until there is a complication. She is the best doctor i have ever come across. Thank you so much maam and your staff for all the care and support provided profusely. I would always recommend Alfa Cinic to any one and everyone with my eyes shut, the best in town rather the best in Karnataka.

I consulted her in my 8th month and after the 2nd appointment i used to think that why didn’t i see her earlier. She is straightforward, doesn’t prescribe too many tests or medicines. It was my 1st pregnancy and i wanted a normal delivery but i was already overweight and had other health issues also. But she did not give up and tried till the last moment, she would keep motivating me. Never saw any doctor do so much. I Had to go through an emergency c-section. She would come and check upon me in the night and early mornings also apart from the clinic timings and the staff was also very helpful all through. Even today when i go to her it’s homely and not just a clinic. They gave me my life’s biggest happiness and took very good care of me. I can’t thank them enough.

Thank you Dr.Fatima Maam for your encouragement and sharing positive energy during my labour pain and helped us to get my baby Girl safely on our arms. Im happy I choose you from the beginning stage of my pregnancy. You helped me out to clear all my fears and doubts,guided me throughout my pregnancy with so much patience. You kept on encouraging me to push for normal delivery. But in last minute when things dint turn out properly as expected and decided for C-section. We would like to thank Dr. Fatima to moon and back as she is a Very good friend/ Mother first then a doctor with such amazing and ample experience who can really bring happiness and joy. Speaking about our experience at Alfa clinic was just phenomenal as she motivated, helped, pushed us to the extremes so that we deliver Normal. All others at hospital are wonderful and have great sense of humor to provide immediate support and action. After our hard journey over miscarriage and complex treatment with multiple doctors, we gone through incredibly increasing in medicines intake, multiple tests and scans. Then we gifted with the GEM in this field Dr. Fathima Poonawala. She took care of my wife effectively with only necessary medicine, tests and scans. We could really see her dedication and intention to support us on normal delivery. Even from the admissions till the delivery we got intense care and she supports as much as possible for the natural process. And with her and her teams support we gifted with a baby boy. People will definitely feel the care and service rather than a corporate approach.

Dr Fathima Poonawala is the best gynaecologist in town. I delivered my baby boy with her assistance on 14 January 2022. I was brought in to the her clinic early morning by 3am and I was 3-4 cms dilated and I was put in the warm water bath tub in the morning by 7, my contractions were also gradually increasing and the doctor would come and check my dilation and baby's heartbeat every now and then, on an average every 30mins. By afternoon I was few more cms dilated and was advised to walk around to help the process, after almost 12 hours I was completely dilated and I pushed out my baby around 5:37pm with the help of the doctor and her team, my boy was 3.06kgs. She waited patiently along with me my husband and parents untill I was completely dilated and we were discharged the next evening because it was a vaginal delivery without any complications and due to Covid reasons. Even during check ups she didn't scare me about anything, she used to say eat less and walk more, eat in intervals, if you're baby is over weight then they'll be complication during labour, she wouldn't stress us about any unwanted scans and blood tests and medicines. I've found a wonderful doctor and her team after trusting the online reviews. Me and my family liked her during the consultation too. We trusted her and she trusted us back and the result was so beautiful. She doesn't talk unnecessarily though answers all the queries with patience. I would never forget this experience and Dr Fathima Poonawala too. Untill and Unless there is complications she won't go for C section, she'll wait if we are ready too for a vaginal delivery. She is the bestest. She has a great team too. Very helpful staff. I'm happy my boy was delivered by her assistance. I would recommend her to anyone I know. I delivered my baby girl at Alfa Clinic. Dr. Fatima Poonawala guides through the entire pregnancy and birth process with a steady hand and pragmatic advice. Never over prescribing, she lets the natural process of a woman's body lead the way and this made me feel calm and confident rather than anxious. The clinic is clean and simple. Dr Fatima handles the deliveries personally along with her experienced team and this also made us choose Alfa. Overall a very smooth experience.

After a harrowing experience at a big hospital, we decided to consult Dr. Fatima Poonawala from the 3rd month onwards for our second child. Right from our 1st consultation we realised that we were in safe hands. All through the course of my wife's pregnancy, the doctor was very guiding and straightforward. During delivery, the doctor kept checking on my wife personally all through the night. The next morning we were blessed with our second child.
