★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place needs no introduction. Operating successfully since 1930s they have come up with a new outlet at park circus few months back. Recently they had a biryani festival going on in order to celebrate their 90 successful years. This is one of the oldest restaurant in Kolkata serving mouth watering biryani and other Mughlai dishes. The biryani has that authentic flavour which will surely bring joy to your heart. Don’t forget to try their haleem during Ramadan. Its a must visit to all biryani lovers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant is very famous in Kolkata for its Biryani and phirni. They have one more outlet in syed Amir Ali avenue. The ambience is fine with a seating capacity of 50+ at a time. The food is really good here and you can come with your friends and family anytime to enjoy their Biryani. Recently a Biryani Festival was going on where you can have Biryani at just Rs 99. It included varients chicken Biryani only like afghani, kachi, hydrebadi, chicken tikka Biryani and rehsmi kabab Biryani.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went there during the Biryani Festival. Only 3 types of chicken biryani was available. Quantity was not good enough but at that throwaway price it was just fit. Taste of the rice could be a little better. Overall good experience there. Nice ambience and behaviour.

Ask me, I can share the feeling...
But let me give you the GOOD NEWS... By now, all of you are aware that Aliah Restaurant & Banquet (Park Circus) is offering Afghani Chicken Biryani, Chicken Reshmi Biryani, Chicken Tikka Biryani, Kachchi Biryani, Kolkata Chicken Biryani & Hyderabadi Biryani at just Rs. 99/- only... Exactly, this is a heavenly news for all the Biryani Lovers like me...
Aliah Restaurant is the oldest restaurant of Kolkata who is selling Biryani and other Mughlai dishes for more than 90 years...
They are now 99 years old, thus they are offering Biryani at just Rs. 99/- only...
The day before yesterday me along with my foodie mates went Aliah Restaurant which is situated at Park Circus and my friends had Biryani while I was having kebabs only.
So don't wait, this offer is valid till 22nd December.
By the way, give me an inside news : on the second day of their offer which was on a Monday, they had to close the restaurant for 3 hours for over selling and not just that that day only, they had to keep their restaurant open till 2am.
This offer is not valid for take away..
Now don't wait much, go and grab your plate of Biryani..
PS : For over selling and huge rush, if you have to wait a little more for your plate of Biryani, please don't be rude to the waiters. Rather, try to understand their pressure and be nice to them. (This is my personal request)

Aliah is located a few steps away from the main Park Circus 7 Point Crossing. It's a restaurant with a history of its own.
I went for the Biriyani Festival that is going on here till 22nd December, 2018. And I sure have some concerns. #99walibiriyani
• Chicken Tikka Biriyani - Tasted good. The 2 chicken tikka pieces were really tender and tasy. And overall it tasted good.
• Chicken Reshmi Biriyani - Yet again, the 2 chicken pieces were good. Tender and juicy and the rice was fine.
• Chicken Kolkata style Biriyani - The chicken tasted fine and the rice was well cooked.
Pros :
1. Good ambience.
2. The Biriyani tastes good.
Cons :
1. The rice for all three were the same so nothing extraordinary there.
2. The chicken piece (Kolkata style biriyani) was tiny and hardly had any meat.
3. The portion sizes were small (especially Kolkata style Biriyani and Chicken Reshmi Biriyani), I've seen all the food bloggers brag about the portion size but probably because they were invited and served more quantity but it is not the same for the other customers. Just a marketing gimmic.
4. We went at around 12:15pm and the Hydrabadi, Afghani, Kacchi biriyani weren't ready and would only be ready at/after 1:30pm
(Hydrabadi, Afghani) and at/after 2:30pm (Kacchi biriyani). Hence, if its a festival then you must have all your dishes ready when you open (11:00am) or just let everybody know which specific Biriyani will be ready at what time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Biriyani Festival is going on in Aliah. Get any Biriyani at 99/- (from 7th to 22nd December,2018)
The restaurant is situated near Quest mall opposite Honda Showroom in Park Circus area.
After watching a post of @thekolkatabuzz I went there today and my experience was "not" good at all.
?First of all they have decreased their quantity to maintain the proportionality with the cost. I know their actual quantity because I already did visit the place few weeks ago.
?The next is the quality of the food. We waited 20mins after ordering
▪️Reshmi Biriyani
▪️Hyderabadi Biriyani
▪️Chicken Tikka Biriyani
▪️Chicken Boneless Masala
And what we received was not even hot.
?Then lets talk about the behavior of the staff. That was very rude. May be they are not habituated with the crowd. Because last time there were 5 people including me and my friend. Today there were 12 people which was huge for them I guess.
I Know they are charging less but that doesn't mean that they should compensate that with quantity quality & conduct. Biriyani festival is not new in Kolkata. They should keep these things in mind.
Overall I'm very offended with the service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situated at near the park circus 7 point, this place has many great dishes to offer at real great prices. This place is located on the 1st floor and is easy noticeable from outside.
Coming to the ambience, it's amazing with their sober and simple yet fantastically arranged chairs and tables and the service is fast with the men out here being very prompt with their hospitality.
Now coming to the food, we had a gud number of starter and they were something to heavenly to try on.
We started with CHICKEN HARYALI KEBAB and it was cool with its superb Herby taste and feel. Also we had CHICKEN TIKKA KEBAB which was perfectly grilled and spiced properly that made it taste just amazing. Also we had CHICKEN RESHMI KEBAB which was so soft and the chicken were so tender to make the coolest starter of the day.
Also they had their super special CHICKEN ALIAH KEBAB which is their special dish made out of a great cheesy layer upon the chicken pieces making it a must try for all people coming up here.
Apart from chicken starters we had FISH CHILLI which was a gud starter with its unique saucy and tangy taste.
Coming to main course we had their famous Chicken biryani which literally had a totally different essence and taste out of the biryanis I had. Along with the biryani we had their super tasty side dishes like the CHICKEN CHAAP which had a delicious gravy making the biryani tastiest at it's best.
Also we tried on their BUTTER & TANDOORI NAAN and MASALA KULCHA which was soft and good with its feel. Also we had our hands on their DAL MAKHANNI which was a treat to try on with their breads. The Makhanni tasted damn superb with its creamy and less spicy taste.
Not to forget we had their MUTTON STEW which had a totally unique tasting gravy and the mutton pieces were also great.
Lastly from their desserts section we tried on their FIRNI which was so tasty and was not so sweet. Also we had the SHAHI TUKDA which was so amazing with it's milky and kesari essence.
Overall a must visit place to get your lunch or dinner sorted, be it your friends, family or colleagues!!
