Edit : (2022) The quality of food is not as good as it was before...don't go if you care about ambiance.

Waiters were not in uniforms , so a bit confusion while placing the order by mistake i have asked one person for the menu . Then realised he is guest and looking for menu too. We ordered mutton chaap, which was good. And mutton kasha. The meat was not tendered.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zeeshan, a restaurant that was once synonymous with unrivalled quality of Mughlai Dishes and outstanding North Indian delicacies, has considerably lost it's charm today. During my visit to try out one of their popular delicacies known as Mutton Biryani, I was left flabbergasted with what they had served. Here are a few of my observations, based on my personal experience.
Pros :-
1) Fast service.
2) Ample seating capacity.
3) Moderately hygienic.
4) Wide choice of foods on the menu (although most of those were unavailable).
5) Clean washbasin area.
Cons :-
1) Highly expensive, when compared to the quality and quantity they serve. A plate of Mutton Biryani costs ₹265 here.
2) Biryani rice quantity was too less. It was like a half-plate Biryani, but they charged for a full-plate.
3) Exorbitantly oily. It seemed like the whole Biryani was floating on a plate of oil. It was greasy & outright unhealthy.
4) The plates that they use to serve Biryanis are too small in size.
5) The mutton piece was tiny, and had a stale flavour.
Overall, I would not highly recommend dining at this restaurant, considering the fact that far better restaurants are available nearby, like Zam Zam, Arsalan, Shiraz and Royal Indian. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zeeshan is amongst the top rated restaurants in Kolkata and I second that hands down. The ambience is that of a normal eatery in Kolkata. I ordered butter nan and kadai chicken along with reshmi kebab. I had never eaten such soft and fluffy nan anywhere. Both the chicken dishes were astounding. The flavour of the food is quite different compared to other regular restaurants. It's located in the Park circus area and is easily reachable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zeeshan is one restaurant which you can readily go up to and not return disappointed! Kathi Rolls at the very best.
Their Roll menu is just as elaborate as any Park Street Roll Counter and obviously, all you Non Vegetarians will be at bliss by just being here.
Crisp flaky paranthas, with freshly made super succulent paneer filling and some onions and chillis adding to the munching. A drizzle of Ketchup and done! Classical Kolkata Kathi Roll! A hungry stomach can have N number of such rolls! (Who counts the calories anyways?!) I approve of this Kathi Roll at Zeeshan!
And that firni, did make a necessary impression. The texture was just as it should be and served beautifully just as it should be!
