β β β β β Royal Indian Restaurant has been running in Kolkata for over a 110 years.
Recently visited this outlet which has a modern touch to the tradition it upholds for years. The food is outstanding and so is the service.
We tried:
?Chicken Malai Kebab (INR 280)
?Mutton Galawati Kebab (INR 320)
?Mutton Biryani (without Aaloo - Potato, INR 270)
?Chicken chaap (INR 240)
?Mutton Chaap (INR 260)
?Firni (INR 70)
Their kebab just melts in the mouth and tastes scrumptious. You should also try their Chicken Kasturi Kebab, which is yet another speciality!
Note: Being a traditional Lucknowi restaurant, their signature is the Biryani without Aaloo (Potato), which is unlike Kolkata style biryani where Potato is a MUST. If you want it with Aaloo, just mention that while ordering.
Also you MUST try their chicken chaap and mutton chaap with Rumali Roti. It tastes amazing!
A recommended place if you love awadhi/Mughal cuisine.

β β β β β Nice place. The biryani tastes good. The aloo one and moti one was good. The dishes are hugely overpriced though. 2 small pieces of chicken for that price god. Simply out there are much better options in the area. If you are there seat by the window, the view is nice.

β β β β β I was extremely satisfied after waiting for a long time to have Good biriyani from a good place. Royal India, park circus is a must visit.
I visited here on Sunday and I have found a roadside Parking where the security man was quite Helpful. I entered the place and the staffs were very much welcoming and listened to each and Every Request of us.
I had ordered Royal,'s special Mutton Biryani which I liked a lot. The rice was quite balanced from taste and smell. The mutton pieces were also good but I was little bit disappointed with the amount of Meat Balls or Motis been used. It is because I already had tried from this place earlier where the Motis were good enough. Here, since there is no potato piece and on top of that the Motis were less, I found it quite disappointing.
Otherwise, overall I have enjoyed here with my friend. Also, on request I have managed to take Videos as a part of my Content for Instagram. Do follow on IG ? @bickfreeze.2 and you will find the Video of this place.

Mutton Pasinda , Galwati Kebab , Royal Special Biriyani are the most famous items here.
In winter don't miss the Gajar Ka Halwa.

β β β β β Wonderful experience as always. Not soaked oil just the right quantity. But the chicken used to be more meaty,it was an exception that particular day. Still the chicken was properly cooked and tender. Fulfills the appetite of Biryani lovers.

β β β β β Absolutely nothing to fault this place on, every single thing was perfect.
Starting with the kakori kebab, so so so soft, absolutely melts in your mouth, 5/5, must try! Their biryani is flavourful, it's delicious and wholesome, amazing! Mutton chaamp was also great but the star of the day was their galawati kebab, absolutely stunning, I'd give it a 10/5, loved every single thing about it. The service was also exceptional!
Food: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Value for money: 5/5

β β β β β In this review i will not discuss about the taste of the foods of this place because this place we all know very well how good it is. But for a quick info Jakaria Street royal restaurant.
Price is too High Quantity is very less.
Ok we ordered
Royal Chicken Biriyani
Chicken champ
Royal paratha & Chicken Bharta amd another item was not there (we are there around 1 pm)
So we ordered Rumali Roti
Chicken tikka butter masala
Fresh Lime soda
Well as I have said Taste is good so much Dalda in the Biriyani but it was good chicken was soft.
Now why I rated with 3 stars
Quantity was like very very small i get that the price of other components are shooting the sky but you just can't cut the quantity size to literally half what you have used to serve
The piece of chicken in the Biriyani so small hardly 90gm
The only piece in the chicken champ is hardly 110gm
So bottom line is this is not the place where you can eat your favourite mughal foods in a reasonable price. No this is simply not possible Price is also high and quantity will also leave annoyed. And I don't think this will improve anyway. So no more Royal for me.
Thank you for Reading this very soon will come with another review till then stay safe eat healthy and take care of yourself in this scorching heat & protect yourself from COVID-19 it is coming again.
I am attaching my photos as well.
