They have changed their seats so now it is more comfortable.
So enjoy your movie watching it from balcony seats with a bucket of popcorn and coke.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This cinema hall is popular because it's easily affordable. The projection is good and the sound quality is noteworthy. I'm not sure about the balcony seats, but otherwise, it's pretty decent. Despite all the vendors and food stalls, present both outside and inside the premises, the place is well maintained and clean. The comfy seats and a good air conditioning system only adds to the ambience of the theatre. A good place to watch popular flicks at decent quality without spending much. Definitely recommend it ??

Based on my experience, I would suggest you to go for 2D if you are planning to see a movie. Since the size of the screen remains the same and by wearing 3D glasses it becomes hard to see since everything becomes less bright. Sound system is pretty nice and loud too(very much). Go for dress circle not for stall. Seats are recliner in dress circle. Don't worry about the viewing angle.
At last I would like to say, if you are planning to watch a movie at cheaper rate and if this is the nearest cinema, then go for Asoka.

Place is open for business now with all COVID protocal.
Place has been refurbished with new seats n cealing, damping.
Only issue is that there is very little space between rows for inward and outward movement.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ashoka hall a big part of the childhood of current generation of Behala folks have gone through quite a transformation. The pictures speak for themselves. The theatre has been renovated , the seats changed , the walls decorated , improved sound system( my guess ) , new ceiling. It's a brilliant cinematic experience for people living in Behala. Folks from outside are welcome too but there will be issues for parking as there is no designated space. Highly recommended.
