★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very conjusty place but wide variety of fish are available with reasonable rate. Chicken, mutton also available. Fish market is attached with vegetable market also. But vegetable is little bit expensive compared to other vegetable market.

Almost every type of shops are available here. There three different parts of the market like the first one is vegetable marketing and the middle one is fish & meat shops and the last part is full of grocery and home needs shops.
Huge amount of vegetables and fruits are available in reasonable price. Basdroni meteo is just 5 mins walk away from here..
Medical shops like applo clinic is also here.

?The Bansdroni fish market is the closest one from my place, it starts at morning 6 A. m and continues till 2 P. m. You get wide variety of fresh fish at a reasonable price. The variety includes Ruhi, kaatla, hilsa, tangra, maurala, bhola,bhetki, basa, chingri, louta, puti, bok maach, pomfret, parshey, pabda and lot more.
? So next time you visit our locality, you must visit this market too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very old market and I have known this market and being said that the vendors are also from very long time. Pretty fresh fish, live chicken and abundance of fishes. You can get both sea as well as river fishes. Besides chicken there's a very good mutton shop just across the canal bridge. Reasonable prices but don't forget to bargain. With the current influx of gasoline prices everything is becoming expensive even here. This is one of the famous wet market in south Calcutta.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the biggest market in Kolkata. You will get all types of Fish, Meat and vegetables in this Market.
A pond was surrounded by the market. In one side of the market is only for Fish and meat and other side is only for vegetables.
Fish market is very big and you will get all variety of Fish like Fresh water Fish, Sea Fish, even you will get all types of rare fish also.
There are at least 50 to 60 persons only for cutting the fish, from this you can understand the crowed.
The other side of the market is full of vegetable and foots . You will get all types of vegetables and all are very fresh.
Best part is that there are some farmers come from long distance to sale their vegetable directly form field.
Even you will get readymade vegetable (processed and properly cut) which is very difficult for cutting, such Mocha, Kochur Saag, Thor, Kochur Loti, different type of Saag.
This market is for all type of people and really it looks like a Mela. If you don’t buy anything and roam around also you will feel fresh.
And believe me you will never be disappointed for anything you are looking for ……
