I went there for my kitten. The ticket charge is Rs.50 and minimum dressing charge is Rs.50 and if anyone is trying to visit don't forget to bring Rs.50 change.The rates are very acceptable and good service though my cat died.

Located at Belgachia, this is the best Govt vet clinic at Kolkata. Being part of the University, Doctors with very vast experience are available for consultation . They have a big area and all medical facilities required for veternary treatment. The. Opds are open on all days except sunday and Govt holidays. The rate of consultation charge and operation charge are very much acceptable. But a slight word of caution ....Being a Govt run place, there is still that time taking wait and never maintaining the schedule is very common. If you can bear with that with couple of non caring staff, you can very well take your pet there. 03/10/18- i visited this clinic once again today with an emergency situation. The Doctors available there were so helpful. They took care of the situation with dedicated effective measure. I am so thankful to them. Especially i am indebted to Dr Mofijul and Dr Suman. Thanks a lot .

Clean outdoors and indoors. X-ray, USG and other tests available. Outdoor fee is Rs 50 and the doctors are quite helpful. I took my gsd cross and they diagnosed her specifically and cordially.

Well I've been here many times so I'll be providing my entire experience so that others looking forward to visiting this can benefit from my review. I had initially been visiting Animal Planet, New Town for the treatment of my kitten, who was suffering from acute constipation. After several visits and spending a lot of money, surgery was concluded. The price estimates for the same were very high. Then due to unavailability of the doctor and urgency of the situation, I was given information about this clinic. I arrived on a weekend, so the first thing to note is that, major surgeries are not done during weekends. Emergency cases are however taken care of. I would also like to mention the rates - 300 for minor surgery and 600 for major. The basis of classification is upto the authorities. The next important to note is the flow of steps. For any case, you have to first register yourself at the registration counter, with a registration fees of 50. This includes a free follow up, so the next time you come, you don't have to pay 50 rupees, however you have to do an entry in the same counter. It is always advised to carry exact change as there is always an issue regarding the same. After registration, the person in the counter will direct you to the appropriate service location. If you're directed to the doctor for consultation simply go there and notify someone that you've come for the same. They'll ask you to wait outside the room and call you accordingly. Always be careful as to what directions are being given regarding the next step of action. In case of an X ray, first go the X ray section, get the X ray done, come to the registration counter for fees payment and then go back to the X ray chamber for plate collection. A normal X ray costs 200 rupees. The next important thing to note is that lunch timings are from 2-2:30 so plan your visit accordingly. I'm giving 5 stars as I was quite satisfied with the organized manner in daily work proceeded in this clinic. Although there would be times when you might get frustrated (it's a government facility after all) but if you have a little patience, you'll get excellent service at very low cost compared to private clinics and labs. The doctors are very knowledgeable and will provide you excellent information. I'm providing just a basic comparison below - Doctor consultation - here it's just 50 with a free follow up, in private clinics it's at least 350 Barium X ray - here it's just 1000, in Vet Labs it's 5000 rupees Major surgery - here it's only 600 rupees, in private clinics it's at least 6000 rupees Final note for the readers, don't forget to take the gate pass else you'll be restricted exit from the main gate. Special mention - thanks to the very cute Doctor Ruchita who helped me a lot every day and her friend as well

It's a very reliable clinic for pets. But the timing starts from 10 a.m instead of 8 a.m. moreover very convenient for all.

They're literally illiterate doctors. I've taken my 3 cats to them and to all of them they provided saline and the same medicines and injections which was of no use, as ultimately 3 of them died. When I asked why are you giving the same meds to all of them then they replied it's a viral infection going over, it's harmful and blah blah, but when you'll ask which viral infection this is or how is it caused or how can I protect my cats then they'll not tell anything because they don't know as they are Bloody jahils. I'll advise not to visit this hospital just because it's charges are low, they'll make your pet's condition more worse and even cause them death by their illiterate things. They don't even deserve this one star.
