★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Filter coffee, dosa and idli are good. No place to sit and enjoy the crispy doasas and strong chutney supper. Only 6 people can accommodate in the shelf like space given to eat. People sit on the mini forest park's knee height concrete wall.
Seems like owner is changed and so the staffs. Taste is not as good as maintained by previous owner.
Employees from Clear trip, Infosys Makemytrip and other offices come here for supper.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful place to have snacks, like masala dosa, idli, khara bath, chats, etc. The food here is really good and is cheap. I go here for having a coffee or tea in the evening. The restaurant is just next to the Mini Forest and people sit near the forest to have tea and snacks. The place has a good ambience and there are lots of trees that gives this place a cool and calm atmostphere. The service is good too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This darshini/café is situated in the quiet neighbourhood around mini forest JP nagar.
Feeling nostalgic about my college days, of the quick tiffins of idli chutney and coffee, purely because of the name of the restaurant, we thought we would give it a try.
We went to this little tiffin place in mid-morning. So the early morning walk-breakfast-coffee crowd had already dispersed. That allowed for some un-rushed pre lunch.
The menu written on the white board on the wall had limited options. So we ordered a masala dosa and a plate of idli.
Service was prompt. The staff are sweet and nice.
However, the pantry looks a little gloomy, and the whole place could do better with some thorough cleaning.
The Darshini has no seating arrangements. So the clients have to stand around the metal counters meant to keep their plates on. Or, better still, carry their plates to the parapet of the mini forest.
And so we did. Settling down on the outer parapet of the adjacent mini forest, we ate dosa that was crispy on the outside and filled with tasty palya. The taste of idli, chutney and sambar gave away that this place is not remotely related to the Bramins of my college days. But that did not matter as the soothing scent of the mini forests washed away any regrets.
The place is really VFM. And a lovely open-air hangout with folks. I would recommend this place for whom this place not a detour.
