★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a old city besides the Ganga and it is older than kolkata. In British India it wasa French colony. The river bank is beautifully decorated with trees and guard wall. Old French monuments are located on this river side. This place is commonly known as Chandannagar Stand. In christmas time it is a happening place of the city. Here is a church which is decorated at this time and the river bank is also decorated with lots of balloons, Christmas trees and open stage has been made for musical programs.
