**Only vaccinated persons allowed, display of Vaccination certificate is Mandatory at entry point** Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahlaya (CSMVS) formerly known as the Prince of Wales Museum is located on the corner of MG Road at Kala Ghoda, Fort Mumbai. Opens at 10:00 in the morning and is open till 6pm (closing initiates at around 5:30-45). Its best to access this place with public transport ie; bus, cab as the place is close to many tourist attractions nearby and parking can be a major hassle in this area. It cost INR 100 to gain entry to the museum and on paying additional INR 100, one can use a personal camera/mobile phone to photograph inside. Bags to be kept outside and only water bottles & small handbags are permitted inside the premises. An iconic museum with a wide array of galleries and collections to quench the thirst of every history lover. Galleries include art, sculptures, paintings, Metal work, Arms and armoury, textiles, natural history and picture galleries too. CSMVS also comprises of a Children's Museum which comes equipped with an exhibition hall, an amphitheatre, a terrace access area and also an interactive area consisting of a gardening patch and a mock excavation trench. The Museum also has a small souvenir store to take something back home. I visited this place in Feb 2022, The second floor was closed for repairs due to leakages and routine building maintenance and the souvenir store was closed too. Summing it up, i'd say if your in the city, you cannot miss this iconic experience

Quite a tourist-y museum with well curated but somewhat mediocre exhibits. The natural history section has some interesting taxidermy but not a whole lot of history. The architecture of the place, however, is gorgeous! The Children's Museum is literally built around a mango tree and there is an outdoor amphitheatre area which is simply idyllic

Amazing museum and so much to see. I think it's one of the best museums in India and the collections keep getting better. I had visited this museum a few years ago but the new tata collection that's been included is incredible. It's a must visit when in Mumbai. Absolutely loved it!

We visited here on a Sunday morning as part of city tour. Located in the Kala Ghoda area, the location is serene with greenery and among various heritage buildings. During our time of visit, the place was partially closed due to renovation and could only visit part of the museum. The museum has gallery on various themes such as birds, animals, mammals, money, jewelry. You would need minimum of 2 hours to visit all these sections. On occasion of children's day, a workshop on pottery was also being done. There is washroom facility available inside the premises and was clean. However, unsure if there is any eateries present. The entry fee is β‚Ή50 with camera needing another β‚Ή50 for which you're given a hand band. Security won't allow you to click snaps unless you've this band. Entry fee might have been increased after our visit. Overall a good place to visit.

Really nice & informative place. Has a lot things to learn. My suggestion if you are visiting, spare youself minimum 3 to 4 hours,if you want to see things properly. If you are college student bring your ID, it will reduce your ticket cost.

I'm glad to be here This museum is huge, it took me 4 hours to walk around here.I enjoyed a lot here. It costs 100 β‚Ή to go inside here and if you want to do photography then 100 β‚Ή will be taken separately. There are many species of birds, insects, and many animals here. There are handicrafts of mythological architecture, sculptures and much more. I liked it very much.???

Museum is now open full expect top floor. Now it is 100 years celebration time. Entrance fee is Rs.100 per person, i strongly recommend to take a camera ticket for a group of members. Parking facility available inside, normal it tooks around minimum three hours time to spend. Many departments are available each is unique and speak the history of the culture and our civilization. Inside there is well maintained wash room available. Drinking water facility available on the ground floor. Second main thing is one children museum available for kids. Never ever forget to visit there even if kids are not available. Lot of working material and Book are kept there for kids for FREE to take home. Good time to spend for kids in the museum. The staff of the children museum are very good and excellent service provider. They can help you in any doubt regards to the children museum and they will guide very well. Some of the trees are planted there to show your kids about the tree and how they looked. Each and every minute you spend there is more valuable, luggage are not allowed inside. Gift shops are available in the museum campus there you can but some best things, and one book Shop is available inside the museum at ground floor.
