This is a old and nice college in Kolkata college street area, in the college street area there is two city college to avoid confusion remind it is in Amherst Street, kolkata, west bengal, you have to walk about 5-7 minute left side road after drop at Amherst street if you are coming from howrah. This college situated opposite Amherst street police station. They arrange compitative examination centre. This college is rectangular shape with a courtyard area.

The College acted a great significance playing during Bengal Renaissance. In the morning section it is known as Rammohan College and in the evening section it is known as Anandamohan College. The distinguished ex-students are Swami Suddhananda, President of the Ramakrishna Mission, Soumitra Chatterjee, Actor, Laxminath Bezbarua, Assamese writer, Sakti Chattopadhyay, Poet, Haradhan Bandopadhyay, Actor, Mohit Chattopadhyay, Play Wright, Rajanikanta Sen, Poet, Bankim Ghosh, Actor, Jibananda Das, Poet etc etc.

This college is a heritage institution. Inside the college there is an old-fashioned wooden staircase. The classrooms are quite large. Just 10 min road from Sealdah station. I am a student in this college. This is presented online at Corona Ab College. We meet everyone when we come to college for some college work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once it was a great college and it gave many great people to the society. But now it is one of the worst colleges in Kolkata. The worst part of this college is the college office room. Most of the staffs here are rude, indisciplined, corrupt as well as sadist(not all of them). They love to harass students and to see students suffer. However if you are a girl you may get good treatment as few staffs have inclination towards females. The management is very bad here. Staffs hardly work for 1-2 hours. Hence ultimately the students have to suffer.
The teachers are mostly good. But some teachers aren't good and they don't know how to conduct practical classes. However the physics practical madam(young one) and the chemistry practical madam are very good and helpful towards students (as per my experience).
In conclusion, everything is either good or okay except the "college office staffs". They should be sacked immediately.
My advice to newcomers - avoid this college if you love your mental health.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the renowned City College of Kolkata, located at Maniktalla. More appropriately it's is located opposite to Ahmerstreet Police station.
Like other city colleges, the same building houses 3 different colleges in 3 shifts.
Rammohan College in the morning, City College during the day and Anadamohan College at night.
Apart from general education purposes, the college also houses various govt examinations.
I would also like to mention that, adjacent to the college, there is a property known as Rammohan Hall, which is a deserted place and perfect breeding ground for anti-social activities. I have also enclosed pictures of the same to bring to the notice of the authorities.
