★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's an average undergraduate college, with local market surrounding it. Due to this , you will feel congested. The toilets are dirty and full of foul smell. The staffs are okay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was established on 27th November, 1887 by the educationist Sri Girish Chandra Bose. It's affiliated by the University of Calcutta. In undergraduate courses there are arts, commerce and science subjects. In postgraduate studies there's only subject Zoology. Postgraduate studies started in 2005. Bangabasi Morning College was established in 1965. It has been accredited by NAAC as A level. Bangabasi Evening College was established in 1965. It is an undergraduate arts college. Another college is Bangabasi college of Commerce. Few great sons are Jitendra Nath Das, Salil Chowdhury, Sudhi Ranjan Das, Bishnu Dey, Tushar Kanti Ghosh, Swami Lokeswarananda, Sreela Majumder, Amal Kumar Sarkar, Swami Yatiswarananda etc etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bangabasi college is near sealdah station. You can have a short walk and reach there. In bangabasi college, there are 3 separate college going on in the same building, in different time schedule. It's a co- ed college. There is a canteen named "baithak khana". Library, gym, labs are also there. But the gym is closed due to COVID reasons. There are two common room, one is for all (ground floor); another one is for girls only (first floor).
Now, about the faculty and system -
I personally doing my graduation from Bangabasi morning college. So, I know about that specially. It's is average to be very honest. Yes, there are some really good professors, who will teach you well but many are not. It depends on your department actually.
There are political union as well. In morning college, they are really helpful and never force anyone to join them nor they hamper college's ambiance.
Now, if you are going there, don't forget to have the students special Puri as your breakfast from a Puri stall outside of the college.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This college is situated inside a heritage building and also within the famous “Boithakhana Bazaar”. Many legendary people have studied here. But at present, the condition of the college not so good though it always has many students than it can accommodate because it is near the Sealdah station. Boi para or college street, esplanade and many cinema halls are some of the benefits you get as a student. The college is famous for its strong union and past union fights. There are people who come here to train themselves at student’s politics at a larger level. On the bright side, the college has its own ground near the Eden Gardens. Also, this college is NAAC-accredited as B++ which means it is pretty good than many colleges. The fee is very nominal and there is a scope to waive off your fee too. This college has mainly all department with labs and well equipped library, it also has a computer training course from Webel, and this certification may be useful for many. During my study period, I have never seen anything violent happening here as compared to other colleges in the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Portal always distrubed, you gonna suffer to know the subject (paper) nd huge line on admission date, campus is not good, and you will find out all smoker in canteen, and if you are non Bengali then you gonna feel that isolation....some teacher speaks pure Bengali that you won't able to understand....they don't care wheather you understood or not.... It is not good college for English medium students or other medium except bengali
