Daryaganj's tagline, By the inventors of the Butter Chicken and the Daal Makhani, was way too inviting to try it out, and I had already tried getting a reservation at DLF mall Noida and Connaught place, but no luck. Finally got the opportunity after more than an hour of the wait at the Aerocity unit of its dine-in restaurant. 4 of us got a very nice seat a bit away from the crowd and we were ready for the experience. The menu is quite straightforward for all the sections. Like just 3 variants of soup, tomato, chicken, and mutton. We went for 1 tomato and 1 chicken soup. While I didn't taste the tomato soup, chicken soup was bland and not to my liking. The star dish, butter chicken, has 2 variants. The original butter chicken, and the current butter chicken. The difference I found was in the texture and gravy of it. While the butter chicken we eat today is of smooth gravy and is pretty much the same taste at most of the restaurants, the original butter chicken gravy was coarse and had a little dominating taste of tomato. Though it was really different and nice, I wasn't so much impressed by it. The original daal makhani was too thick, and again the taste was a bit bland. Would I come again for it given the price, a bit unlikely? We booked this restaurant with a booking app way in advance, but to the surprise, they didn't accept it, along with a free kulfi offer as well. Though the server was kind enough to still offer the free kulfi to us, by the time his conscience allowed him to take this decision, the kulfi became out of stock :D The pricing was decent for the location and the hype.

Amazing food taste, food doesn’t feel heavy after the meal. Ambience is good too. I found rates reasonable compared to similar restaurants in NCR. Would love to visit again.

Overall experience and the food is best. I loved Chicken Pakoda and the Butter Chicken. If you want the old-fashioned authentic taste of butter chicken there is no other place than this one in Delhi. Must to have things when you reach there: 1. Chicken Pakoda 2. Butter Chicken

Accidentally stumbled upon this place while traveling to Delhi. They claim to be the inventors of butter chicken and Dal Makhni. Ordered chicken biryani and butter chicken. It took ages for the food to arrive. We waited for more than an hour to get food served. The butter chicken was not that extraordinary. Overall food taste is ok. Cost is bit on the higher side.

One of the best restaurants in Delhi situated in Aero food court basement and delicious food. Visited twice with family and our favourite is Daal Makhani and Paneer Tikka Masala. If you are traveling to Delhi or even if you are Delhite you must visit this Restaurant. If you want to taste real North Indian cuisine you must try Daryaganj. Don't miss the Aam Panna Mocktail drink along with food.
