β β β β β Food is worth trying a bit overpriced, not budget friendly, try once atleast you won't regret the ambiance and the quality, but the quantity might disappoint you a little.

β β β β β Lovely Japanese place with a great ambiance. Starters are delicate and flavourful. Portions are enough for 2. They also have these private groups which are great for bigger groups. I recommend the Japanese Slippers cocktail and the pork starter. Rohit took great care of us.

β β β β β Dropped in for a quick meal at Kampai one evening, mostly a pleasant experience.
The outlet is quite nicely made, and features a nice bar stocked with Japanese Whiskies. Even with the ongoing shortage of Liquor in Delhi, they did have a good set of options available.
We started with the Prawn Tempura Sushi, which was good. Then had a Salmon Steak, which was average, and ended with some Yaki Soba noodles, which were great. The noodles were honestly a source of joy for me, they reminded me of some great times in Taiwan (although I know the dish is Japanese in nature). Well made, great flavours, and the noodles they used were spot on.
Next visit will involve a deeper dive into the menu, and one where Ramen is involved.

β β β β β The DJ music was playing too loud during lunchtime on New Year's day. We could hear neither each other nor the waiter. When we asked the waiter to lower the volume, she initially declined saying it is New Year's day. We had to insist only then the the volume was lowered a bit. We had expected light Japanese music but had to put up with loud DJ music! The Japanese cocktails, sushi and wasabi were very good but the main course was too sweet for our taste. Japanese food is supposed to be low in sugars and fats but our main course dishes were predominantly sweet. I actually had a doubt about the authenticity of the dishes.
Also the menu card had no mention about added sweetness or degree of spice.
The waiter didn't seem clued up about the dishes on the menu. Nor was she giving us appropriate recommendations. A fine dine restaurant that charges exorbitantly for the food and drinks is expected to have excellent service.
Not really impressed.

β β β β β My second visit here. Good sushi but very disappointing katsu curry. The place is also a little overpriced. But kudos to the ambience and the atmosphere in the place.

β β β β β If you are an enthusiast of Japanese cuisine, this is definitely a great place to fine-dine. Ambiance and decor is superb, limited restro seating area but they do a great job otherwise, private enclosed seating available upon advance reservation. For groups, there are two private rooms. A big thankyou to Mr. Ansari for making the dining experience memorable. Food quality was good, diverse menu of sushi, nigiri, soups, entrees. Ample parking available in the basement of Worldmark building @ Rs. 30/hr. Pls check out @cocodatedelhi on Instagram for their new partner in healthy baked items. One star less because the bartender screwed up the whiskey sour and screwed it up even more in order to improve it. Thanks!
