β β β β β Amazing banking experience. I am holding a salary account since 2010 and have never faced any issue. Customer service is great. Just one disadvantage - no mobile application.

β β β β β The management doesn't have knowledge and experience of International Banking, specially Mr. Ayaz the RM of bank along with the associated officials. They don't even know what is RWA means. Mr. Ayaz behave very rudely. I have the proofs of all what misbehave he did with us. We are one of the good Clients of the Bank but bank doesn't deserve us to do banking business.

β β β β β The Deustche bank in MG road has not been an issue but the bank itself is a problem.
CONS:
They have only 1 branch in Bangalore. So, just in case you have any major issue , id- name update process you have to visit MG road from wherever you are.
Since this branch is in urban area , the minimum balance to maintain for a regular account is always high.
The SMS service is very slow compared to other banks like ICICI, HDFC, Axis etc. An SMS for OTP (which is very very critical) may take from 5 minutes to hours, which is mostly useless.
They do not have IMPS. So, you neither receive nor send money instantly.
PROS:
They take care of security and they call you whenever there is a small suspicious transaction.

β β β β β We've had a mostly good experience as returning NRIs. They came home to open our account and have been very helpful. Not long waits at the branch and any ATM we use is free, so that is fine. Phone and fraud prevention service has been very good and net banking payments seem to work fine. Sadly, no app and not the greatest website and very few branches, but you are probably opening an account here because you need services outside India as much as, if not more than, inside. For that, they are very knowledgeable and useful. We also talked with HDFC and found them equally good, but demonetization threw us all a curveball and we wound up with Deutsche. We are fine with this. Expect the usual bank sales calls!

β β β β β Extremely poor and pathetic customer service, security and false promises.
My experience (and many other students) on how Deutsche Bank India was fraudulent, made false promises and completely disrespectful.
This experience is wrt DB India. On the other hand, folks at DB Germany are very helpful and I recommend that you deal with them directly.
I went to the Bangalore branch of Deutsch Bank and enquired the advantages of creating a blocked account (for German study visa) through them vs directly creating one. They said the following:
1. You will be waived the blocking free of 150 EUR which you have to pay if you open it directly.
2. You will get an international debit card which you can use from Germany to withdraw.
3. We will ensure that the blocked account is created - because if you apply directly you have no point of contact.
4. One-time transfer is free between DB India and DB germany account.
1 - is completely false. You are not waived anything. Once you come here and unblock your account, you realise that 150 EUR has been deducted anyway. I contacted DB India and they said that it was not their problem and that it is between me and the German branch. They have been doing this to many students and getting away with it because 150 EUR is not a big enough amount for anyone to take litigous action! It's an extremely cheap gimmick!
2 - Yes, but a forex card works out cheaper.
3 - Absolutely false. While they do send out your application, after that they are completely oblivious to what happens. If you get in touch, they have no information about ANYTHING wrt your blocked account. They cannot give you information about whether it is created, or whether the money is transfered or whether the account is blocked.
4 - It is true, but there is still a heavy Converstion tax, converstion charge etc. Another bank such as SBI charges around 10 USD per transaction, which works out the same.
5 - Apart from this, they are also completely disrespectful and employ cheap marketing gimmicks. At the last stage of the account creation, they forced me to create a joint DB India account (which again is of no use), and once my father turned up, tried to market their various savings schemes and bonds.
Apart from all this, one of the service representative left me to wait 4 hrs in the lobby, for a single signature, finally did not turn up and did not even bother with a sincere apology until confronted.
6 - They also seem to have security issues - someone encashed a cheque for a large amount. When I checked, I had the cheque with that number still in my chequebook. We had to call and stop the cheque. But of course, they promptly charged us for stopping the cheque even though it was their fault.
I strongly encourage that, if you are opening a blocked account, do it directly with DB Germany :)

β β β β β Worst experience with this bank, relationship manager never helped for anything at all. They don't know how to talk to customers as well.On 19th Rs4999 has been debited from my account and amount has been credited to a fraudster account but bank is not taking any kind of responsibility to reverse the amount to my account.Their fraudulent transaction detection team is interrogated and harassed me in almost 2 hour call, despite immediately after seeing debit SMS I have called up them requested to stop the payment, till now they did not even tried to get back the money from the wrong account to which the money got credited. Worst bank than Government bank,it's almost a week they didn't even have any details on this and keep on bully and rejecting my request of reversal.
Please stay away from this bank,if a heavy amount is also getting transferred from your account they don't even give ang call to safe guard and check who has done the transaction.for this bank their money is money and my money is nothing.
Third class bank which never able to basic banking facilities at all.only 2 -3 ATMs in whole Bangalore. They send Debit card without any SMS or communications to customer.
If you don't want to hand over your money to cheaters then don't open any account with them at all.

β β β β β Initial response from the bank for opening the account was slow. Later the staff have been quite friendly and helpful.
Their mobile app and internet portal is pretty good. It feels quite secure to use these tools.
Some drawbacks: They don't have online remit facility even for Germany. One has to visit the branch everytime.
The knowledge of staff regarding the banking processes is limited. They will finally figure it out but we would have spent quite some time either at the bank or talking to them on phone.

β β β β β Came here to open a student blocked account for my German visa. Waited more than 50 mins so that atleast a person would come and enquire the purpose of visit. The staff didn't know the procedure for intl. Student account and told me to wait. While waiting, half of the staff are out from their seats and having a talk/ laugh with the others. Finally, after 50 minutes, the person comes qnd tells that " we don't do students blocked account " which is ironic because you need to open blocked account in a german bank to get german visa and advises to go to " KOTAK " BANK.
WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE
