★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Amitava Das is one of the best & renowned Nuro Surgeon of Kolkata whom I had ever met in my life.He is very gentle in his behaviour with extraordinary hands .He is expert in his operation.
My Spinal Chord was injured owing to two consecutive accidents.Before meeting him I had gone to 3 Orthopaedic doctors & one Nuro Surgeon.All of them prescribed operation only & atlast on the day of appointment , before entering his room , I had observed thoroughly walking of one of his patient who had gone under spinal chord operation done by Dr. Das.So then & then decided myself to do my operation by his hands only.Before operation he made me clear about the loopholes of operation.What else to write.I'm ok now with his operation & treatment.Moving nicely & doing my work properly.
Thanks to him & his God gifted excellent hands .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yes, some people are right when commented that "the DOCTOR is great - maybe a great BUSINESSMAN. He is more of a fish vendor than a DOCTOR. Lure your customer (patients) for complicated surgeries and then when the bill is built up then coolly shrug of his responsibility.
The "fabricated" comments from the beneficiaries in a particular timeframe proves how good a " Businessman" he is.
But the pity is we need more DOCTORS who will rise above his business and give proper advise to his patients. Otherwise there would be no difference between a doctor and a Butcher.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr Amitabha Das is a rare find. He’s the best Neuro Surgeon I’ve ever had (and I’ve lived in a few countries). He’s sincerely kind, extremely easy to reach and has a immeasurable lovely character. He doesn’t just excel medically but he is a true gentleman. He takes the time to make me feel reassured and looked after and that’s what I need when I’m sick - to be listened to attentively, given the right advice and follow up. And he does all this genuinely and with consistency!!! I feel like I’ve known him forever.
Booking takes me less than a minute, literally, I just cannot recommend him enough! The list of things he has done for us is endless....
Don’t hesitate to book him if you care about receiving world class medical care because you will be amazed by how different he is to the rest of the doctors out there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My sister had brain stroke. This was God’s wish we took her to Dr. Amitabha Das. Had a great experience with the Doctor. Caring patient is his job but everyday giving updates about the patient to us really helped us a lot. Very narrative. My Sister is improving under his guidance. In my view he is a good Human first then a great Doctor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ He happens to be the worst doctor I have ever met in my life till date. The word that comes to my mind is BEWARE Of him.
He manipulates your thought process using his words in a convincing way so that one will think that it will be the right decision to go for an operation for your loved ones. Moreover he does not mention clearly about the fatal side effects of the operation.Post operative scenario will be totally different as he will blame you saying that you have taken the wrong decision.
Well, who proposed it???
Moreover when every other doctor in ICU will say that your loved one may expire any moment he will again call you suggesting to go for some more operative procedure. That's what he did when my father was on his death bed.
Cruel, arrogant extremely ill mannered, double faced and short tempered are just some of the words that are coming to my mind. Beware of this so called educated mind.

They misguided me and suggested two surgeries in L.S region & C.S region. but Dr. Das is not making any decision too fast. now I am in his observation and feeling relaxed & recovering. Thank you.
