★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My father was suffering from Hernia for the last three years but he didn't disclose it to anybody in the family. In January 2022 he became Covid positive, during his Covid treatment he showed the affected portion of his body to doctor who told us that my father is suffering from Hydrosele. He told me to get ultrasound performed on him. The Ultrasound report disclosed that he is in fact suffering from
Hernia which was at much advanced stage and need of an hour was surgery. We approached Dr Iqbal Singh, General Surgeon in Fortis Hospital Mohali. Dr Iqbal Singh pointed out that his small intestine has made an aperture in stomach wall and has strangulated itself which can be treated only by inserting mesh in the stomach but as my father is 83 years old and had Covid so there was danger to his life in performing surgery on him. But as he had Hernia of advanced stage, so operation was must. My father gave his acquiescence to perform surgery on his body.
Dr Iqbal and his team successfully performed surgery on my father. My father and our family are thankful to Dr. Iqbal Singh Ji and his team and pray to Almighty to make them successful in every endeavour they make to save patients. Dr Iqbal Singh is very versatile, experienced doctor who is very soft spoken with his patients and listen to their problems to solve them.
