★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Elephant ferry return ticket cost 150 for per person. You can buy a ticket at return before 5.30 from elephanta cave's. Ferry service is very nice..to make journey more enjoyable and memorable ferry person. trow food to birds while moving so you get view of birds very close by you and enjoy the journey

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The services are good but the ticket is little bit costly according to the quality. The ferry engine makes a lot of noise that you cannot talk to anyone else. They charge extra for the upper deck. And one of the main things that journey from Gateway to Elephanta is too long. I recommend carry something with you so as you do not get bored during the whole ride.

The tickets cost Rs 260, for luxury return ticket.
No way to stay overnight. Last boat to elephanta leaves at 2 30 pm. Three hours is enough time to stay at elephanta. First return boat is at 12 30pm.
Do carry your own food and drink, beware of the boarding and de boarding as it can be à little unexpected.
They tend to hurry you up when you return, as the boat has to take other passengers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Elephanta ferry services start from here. Always proceed early morning so that you can go and spend enough time in the island. The boat journey itself takes 1.30 hours one side and you have return by evening. Nobody can stay in the island in the night. Don't wait for the last boat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are two types of boats/launches : The Luxury Type and Economy Type. The former cost Rs150 while the later cost Rs120 for return ticket. If you have bought the Luxury ticket, you can return by either services based on the your choice. They collect Rs10 inside the boat to sit on the upper deck. It’s worth this ‘premium’ as you can get a good panoramic view, the crowd and noise is relatively less.
The ferry timings to Elephanta : The ferry travel time is about an hour. The first boat leaves from the Gateway of India for Elephanta at 9 am. The last one for elephanta leaves at 2pm. And typically there is one leaving for Elephanta every 30 minutes, between 9 am and 2 pm. Also note, Elephanta Caves are closed on Mondays. So is the ferry service to Elephanta.
Similarly, the ferry schedules from Elephanta are like this: the first return boat leaves Elephanta by 12 noon. The last one at 5.30 pm. And you'll find a return boat every 30 minutes in between.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Elephanta ferry services are very well managed. From morning ferry service starts. It will take around 1 hrs to reach elephanta caves. You required around 4 hrs including travelling time by boat. Ferry boat charges are 225 Rs per person. This charges are for both way ticket. You can enjoy traveling through boat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Elephanta ferry services are available everyday from Gateway of India ?? except Monday. The morning service starts at 9:30am and halts at 2:30pm as going to Elephanta takes one hour and returning another one. It takes at least 3 hours to visit the island of Elephanta. And no one is allowed to stay in at Elephanta caves. Hence you need to plan ur journey and visit the island and caves well in time. The ferry ride is beautiful as on the way u will be seeing seagulls playing with you. Don’t forget to pay ₹10 extra to take jetty upper deck to view and enjoy best and beautiful ? the ticket price is now increased from ₹200 to ₹260 per person for luxury jetty. Even you can take another one which costs you cheaper at ₹130-150 do check well at Elephanta ticket counter. Enjoy your ride and have fun in a sober way ?????
