বাঁশবেড়িয়ার অন্যতম সেরা সম্পদ এই হংসেশ্বরী মন্দির। ১৭৯০ এর দশকে রাজা নৃসিংহ দেবের রাজত্বকালে মন্দিরের নির্মাণ শুরু হয়,তবে তার অকাল মৃত্যুর কারনে এটি কয়েক বছর পরিত্যক্ত ছিল। পরবর্তীতে ১৮১০ থেকে ১৮১৭ সালের মধ্যে তাঁর রানী শংকরী দেবী মন্দিরের কাজ সম্পূর্ণ করেন। মন্দিরটি পদ্মগম্বুজ আকারে নির্মান করা হয়েছে এই গম্বুজটি ১৩ টি মিনার আছে যা ৫ টি ভিন্ন স্তরে সমতল করা হয়েছে, প্রতিটি পদ্মের গম্বুজে পরিণত হয়েছে।
মস্কোর পোকরোভস্কি ক্যাথেড্রালের সাথে এই মন্দিরের সম্পূর্ণ মিল আছে। মন্দির সংলগ্ন অনন্ত বাসুদেব মন্দির আছে ও অন্যান্য দেবতাও বিরাজমান। মন্দিরের পিছনে দত্ত প্রসাদের ধ্বংসাবশেষ দেখতে পাওয়া যায়।
মন্দিরের নিয়ন্ত্রক দেবী মা হংসেশ্বরী (হান_ মনে শিব সা_ মানে শক্তি),দেবী কালীর অবতার। সেই যুগে প্রচলিত ধাতব ঢালাই এর বিপরীতে প্রতিমা নীল রঙের আঁকা ও নিম কাঠের তৈরী। মন্দিরের দেওয়ালে স্থাপত্যের নিদর্শন পাওয়া যায়।
পথনির্দশনা: হাওড়া- কাটোয়া মেইন লাইনে লোকাল ট্রেনে করে বাঁশবেড়িয়া স্টেশনে নামতে হবে। মন্দিরে যাওয়ার জন্য অনেক টোটো, রিক্সা পাওয়া যাবে ভাড়া হয়ত ১০-১৫ টাকা লাগবে।
Bansberia Hanseshwari Temple ...
This Hanseshwari temple is one of the best resources of Bansberia. Construction of the temple began during the reign of King Narasimha Deva in the 1890s, but it was abandoned for several years due to his untimely death. Later, between 1810 and 1818, his queen Shankari Devi completed the work of the temple. The temple is built in the shape of a lotus dome. This dome has 13 minarets which have been leveled in 5 different levels, each turned into a lotus dome.
The temple bears a striking resemblance to the Pokrovsky Cathedral in Moscow. Adjacent to the temple is the Ananta Basudev temple and other deities also exist. The ruins of Datta Prasad can be seen behind the temple.
The controller of the temple is Goddess Ma Hanseshwari (Han_ Mone Shiva Sa_ means Power), the incarnation of Goddess Kali. In contrast to the conventional metal casting of that era, the idol was painted blue and made of neem wood. Architectural patterns can be found on the walls of the temple.
Directions: Howrah-Katwa main line by local train to get off at Bansberia station. Many Toto rickshaws are available to go to the temple. Rent may cost 10-15 rupees.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hanseswari & Vasudeva Temple s are a two century old Hindu Temples. The Hanseswari is a temple of Maa Hanseswari, a devine avatar of Maa Kali. This temple is 221 years old. The design of the temple would definitely wonder you with joy. It looks like Disney land castle.
Raja Nrisimha Deva started the construction of this temple in 1799, which was completed by his widowed wife Rani Samkari in 1814.
The Vasudeva Temple is one of the very few Ekaratna Temples of the 17th century outside Bankura district in now days West Bengal state. The temples were declared as monuments of National Importance in 10.08.1964.

The temple was built by raja nrisimhadeb raj mahasay. Absolutely taken aback by the mesmerizing architecture respresenting 5 parts of the human body.
The diety is maa kali, named after the raja's mother, hangseshwari devi.
