★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very old Railway station between Daniyawan and ekangarsari. This railway station is now under the indian railway. Before this was under the martin and one company, which was a company outside of india. Renovation of this station was decade of 2000.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hilsa is a sub-division of the Nalanda district in the Indian state of Bihar well known as a centre of Buddhist knowledge. Hilsa was named after great & brave local king hilsa deo who killed by Muslim invaders,, after his death, the Muslims buried him and built a tomb over him, that place is still in Hilsa today, all these things are mentioned in a many places specially a book " A report of three in south behar" by writer colonel Cunningham .[citation needed] Hilsa is a historical city. Magahi, Hindi, English are languages commonly spoken. Locateded approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) south-east of the state capital Patna, the area was an important hub during the Indian independence movement and produced many freedom fighters. It is the only Nagar Parishad in Nalanda.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hilsa railway station connects with capital of Bihar & India. Facilities for passengers is not satisfactory. Raised platform, drinking water and good connecting road is essential. A special attention is required in this area by local competent authority. Encroachment may be seen during daytime by vegitable shopkeepers, street vendors etc. As HILSA is Subdivisional HQ of Nalanda District, a train is required around 8 pm to Patna.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its a railway station but it seems like a market place with a railway track. People are using motorbike on tthe platform , I dont know how they are allowed to do so. I am a resident of Hilsa, and it gives me pain to see the the railway station in this condition. Although it is located near to municipal office but still the cleanliness is poor.
And it also gives me joy, this station connects the capital city and in the near future it will also connect with Gaya, the birth of Lord Buddha. People can use this mode of transportation at a very low cost. It is a stoppage for a train called Magadh Express which runs to the capital of India. I am very glad with the connectivity.
