★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Second oldest engineering college in India after IIT Roorkee established in 1856. Has a very rich heritage. It is one of the top ranked engineering institutions in West Bengal. It got its well deserving INI tag in 2014 and has been doing very good there onwards. It has all kinds of facilities from libraries, swimming pool, gymnasium to all well equipped labs and everything a student needs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Iiest shibpur is also known as BESU(bengal engineering and science University).it is the best Eng clg in india.even it better with almost nits and few iits.its nirf ranking us 21st(2020).its is also known as civil engineering clg.its.placement is quite decent.but in 2020 IIEST shibpur is change into NIT.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely elegant campus with the history over centuries. Bright students all over the place. Faculties are very down to earth and polite. The hostels, grounds of oval and lord's, greenary still are very refreshing, relaxing and mesmerising. Rarely you find such a dignified campus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur (IIEST Shibpur) is a public technical and research university located at Shibpur, Howrah, West Bengal. It is recognised as an Institute of National Importance under MHRD by the Government of India. It is controlled by the Council of National Institutes of Technology.
Undergraduate programs to the various engineering disciplines (4-year B. Tech. programs) and architecture (5-year B.Arch. program) are granted via JEE Main, taking 50% students from the home state (West Bengal) and 50% from other states. Students from any discipline other than Architecture, on the basis of their performance, are allowed to change their disciplines at the end of the 1st Year (i.e., second semester) and may opt for dual degree (B.Tech.-M.Tech.) courses extending over 10 semesters as per terms and conditions specified by the institute. For PG programs admission is through GATE for M.Tech. courses and Joint Entrance Screening Test for MSc. Students are also admitted in Ph.D programs twice a year through online applications.

The campus is huge with so much greenery and also there is every kind facility a student looks forward including good placements. "Just Cazz!"
