Jayadeva pitha is a nice place but due to poor management and governance it's at it's poor state. Poet jayadev (pronounced [dʑɐjɐˈdeːʋɐ], born c. 1170 CE), also known as Jaidev, was a Sanskrit poet during the 12th century. He is most known for his epic poem Gita Govinda[2]which concentrates on Krishna's love with the cowherdess, Radha in a rite of spring.[3] This poem, which presents the view that Radha is greater than Krishna, is considered an important text in the Bhakti movement of Hinduism. Little is known of his life, except that he was a loner poet and a Hindu mendicant celebrated for his poetic genius in eastern India. Jayadeva is the earliest dated author of hymns that are included the Guru Granth Sahib, the primary scripture of Sikhism – a religion founded in the Indian subcontinentcenturies after his death. Brahmin by birth, the date and place of Jayadeva's birth are uncertain (see Jayadeva birth controversy). The Gitagovinda suggests that he was born in the "Kindubilva" village: scholars of Odisha, Bengal and Mithila have variously identified this place with a present-day village in their own region, including Kenduli Sasan near Puri in Odisha, Jaydev Kenduli in Birbhum district, and or the village of Kenduli Kenduli near Jhanjharpur in Mithila (Bihar).[5] Recent studies show scholars still disagree on the issue.[6] Jayadeva, a wanderer, probably visited Puri at some point and there, according to tradition, he married a dancer named Padmavati though that is not supported by early commentators and modern scholars.

#Jayadev_Pitha The ancient Jain Goddess temple at Prachi valley : The Prachi valley civilization is one ancient and heritage culture point of attraction since pre-histroic era where every sects of tradition is found. . Padmavati temple built on first half of 13th century by Eastern Ganga Dynasty is dedicated to Goddess Savitri and due to some epigraphy and sculptures it is also believed to be Goddess Padmavati of Jainism. The second image is the ancient sculpture of Dampati in jain architecture . . Vimana is a rekha deula and the jagamohan is a pidha deula of Kalingan architecture order.Laterite blocks are used in the jagamohana and bricks are used in the vimana which signifies another brick temple in our Odisha. . Situated at Kenduli village just beside Jaydev Pitha where legendary and eminent poet Jaydev was born , nearly 30kms from capital Bhubaneswar and 6kms from Kantapada of Cuttack district.

It is a very beautiful place. But our personal efforts are essential. Trees and small plants are suffering for want of water and maintenance. Jay Jagannatha.

Good place we fortunately visited the place when there was about to be inauguration of the museum and we seriously it a must visit place atleast once and the park is needed to be maintained a lot and drinking in this place should also not be allowed because it leads to fear and not visiting the pitha due to drunk people as they may misbehave with peoples present there .although enjoyed a lot will be visiting again.

We landed here by mistake but it turned out to be a fortuitous one! Peaceful place with a small museum and an old temple at the back. One jackfruit tree laden with fruit. The 'caretaker' even allowed us to open a locked room and see a recently made statue of Jayadev. All in all, a short sweet visit.
