The Bureau of Indian Standards(which issues the ISI mark) center and lab are also situated here. Two century old institutions-Bengal Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals and the Yogodyan math,CCD,Barista,Honey Da Dhaba,Hong Kong chinese restaurant,Sharmas,Gupta Brothers and Rose Restaurant & Confectionary(headquarters)are also located here. Swabhumi,Inox,Cinemax are in close proximity. Vodaphone,Airtel,Reliance,MTS all have their flagship stores here. Bara saab clothing store us also located here. Extremley well connected by countless bus routes,trams and railways too(Bidhannagar Road station) Knakurgachhi is approx.12km only from Dumdum airport and 5 mins from the Eastern Metropoliton byepass.
