★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Fair is in full swing....every stall has something to offer!!! Some have fun quizzes about current affairs,and some have quizzes about our city Kolkata itself. Jute stalls,Paan stalls,and a variety of food stalls....the fair has on offer everything you could ever ask for. The book stalls are well maintained,with proper sanitization and mask wearing rules in place. Discounts are also available on the books. All in all,the Fair looked like a cultural festival!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a gap of 2 years the 45th Kolkata Book Fair 2022 has been happened. All the people of Bengal as well as of other countries have been eagerly waiting for this global event. The theme of the this year's fair is 'Golden Jubilee of independence of Bangladesh '. Lots of stalls of books of Bengal, India, and from foreign countries are present in the fair. The administrative work is done by Kolkata Police/ Bidhannagar Police very smoothly. According to book sellers guild, it's a record year in which most number of books have been bought by people. So we shall wait for a year for the 46th edition of the fair. Thank you very much. Do like and follow my profile so that you can get more information about the places I review.

Books are the priority but if we amalgamate all the stalls , we can see the book fair provides a grand exposure to all entrepreneurs, artists and people interested in art. Diversification can easily be seen no matter from which gate you enter. Ample public spaces(breathing spaces) are well placed in the planning and stalls of every publisher, distributer can be seen here. From Oxford, penguin to Ananda publishers are highlighted. Apart than book stalls, embassies of different country have their stall to promote abroad education and services. Artists perform on streets which are named after famous personalities. 2 food courts keep all the visitor fed but stalls for vegetarians are far less in comparison to non-vegetarians(i am an omnivore so no worries). Water packet depot are placed by municipality which is a huge initiative. Many famous celebrities can be spotted exploring the same. Nukad natak, singers perfoming songs from anime brings out a huge sense of respect for their art form. Overall, a must visit place for book lovers, art lovers and people who value the same.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a gap of one year due to Covid 19, this annual cultural extravaganza of Kolkata is back. Though this time the number of stalls are less due to Covid 19 regulations the spirit and zeal are the same. With the metro operating and a lot of special buses plying transport is not a problem. This year's theme country is Bangladesh.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 28 February to 13 March 2022. Great collection of books. Some book stalls like Iran, Argentina, Russia, Spain etc are must see. Discount is only 10%☹️. Food stalls need improvement. Book Fair opening and closing time is 12 pm and 8pm.?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a gap of almost 2 years kolkata book fair is back. Apart an intresting news that karoonamoyee metro is operational in recent times till phoolbagan connecting corridors and removing the much traffic delays. Fair and fairground Central park is huge and multiple stalls thronged in the common place. Bibliophilic calcatians have thronged, amazing footfalls. People have maintained covid protocols in almost all activities. I felt alive and was amazed to see the enthusiasm of all age groups. Quizzes, drawing competition, school going, college going, office goers, homemaker's, professional every spirited indivisual had a smile KOLKATA BOOK FAIR is back "a relief". Transportation arrangements were fair enough by authorities. Auto, taxis, busses, metro connectivity, private transporters ola, uber are making good fortunes. Overall a must place to visit but donot forget to visit GURER DOI AND MISHTI stalls and mio Amore stores and plenty of mouthwatering Street foods. Bangladesh participation is worth visiting to open another view point. Cultural activities and boul songs are melodious....
