Masishadal Rajbari is good place to visit for anyone if you're are interested in history it does not matter. Old Rajbari is now under construction but you explore New Rajbari. There are plenty of things you explore in Rajbari. All amenities of Raja Maharaja its very exciting ?. But explore Rajbari is subject to local authorities because if any flim shooting or Marriage ceremony is occupied Rajbari visit is not possible for this day.

Place is poorly maintained. One would get depressed seeing the condition of the antique items including animal skins. This property is privately maintained. Staff are rude and they have different rule for different people. Tourists will have to pay and remove their sandals whereas local people and walk around with sandals. Not a place worth spending time.

A excellent place for spent weekend with family and friends. There is ferry service ( lunch service) to cross the river.Neither there is any arrangement of food or water. It is an ancient palace where the king's used sword and gun are stored. There is a huge chariot next to it and it is drawn every year and the king's descendants inaugurated it. There is also a temple beside it and a garden, ful mango trees

It is a historical place of 350 years old. The original palace has been damaged with aging. Govt is not maintaining. The new palace is being maintained by Royal Family.

Nice place for a short visit. Don't know why everyone had to open shoes to enter but nevertheless nice experience.. You have to buy tickets to enter. The ticket price is Rs. 10(as far as I remember) Parking is also available. Parking charges apply although the charge is reasonable.

A perfect weekend trip to Haldia, Geonkhali. While you are at this place don't forget to visit Mahishadal Rajbari. This place is around 3hrs drive from Kolkata. There are two palaces- the old one is under maintainance and doesn't require ticket. The new one requires ticket of 15/- each and for car parking 20/-. There is enough space for parking. Entering into this palace you will be amazed to get a view of the preserved stuffed animals like leopard, tiger, bear, eagle, deer. No camera is allowed inside the palace. Only from outside you can click photo.

Renovation is work is partly complete and there are two heritage buildings one is still undergoing complete restoration as of Jan 2022. The property open for public is called Phulbagh palace at Mahishadal and took us an hour from Haldia city centre in a toto that we reserved and they charged INR200 per hour. Will be faster if you have your own vehicle. You can complete a tour of the palace come museum in 30 mins max. The area is quite big but a lot remains to be done to make the attraction novel. Only the frontal part of the building has been painted and you have to pay 15 rupees as entry fee, photography in the museum is not allowed which is actually 3 rooms...hastily put and lacks information or background stories for the enthusiasts. If its winter you can sit for a while in the open green space in front. Glad that we have taken a step to showcase our past to the public.
