Masjid khairul manazil is one of the oldest mosque in Delhi built by Maham Anga, who was the care taker of Mughal King Akbar. Only three namaz in a day can be performed that is zuhar, Asr, Maghrib only. It is under ASI.

Abul Fazl mentions in Ain e Akbari that on 12.01.1564, when Akbar reached Mahim Anaka Madrassa, returning from a visit to the holy tomb of Hazrat Nizamuddin, a miscreant shot an arrow towards Akbar that caused injury to right shoulder. The structure was a mosqe built in 1561 that also had a religious school.

Khairul Manazil or Khair-ul-Manazil is a historical mosque built in 1561 in New Delhi. The mosque is situated in the opposite of Purana Qila on Mathura Road, south east to Sher Shah Gate. The gateway of the mosque was made by red sandstone following Mughal architecture, but the inside structure of the building was made in Delhi Sultanate pattern. This mosque was built by Maham Anga who was Emperor Akbar's wet nurse cum foster mother. It is stated that in 1564, Akbar was attacked near the mosque by an assassin while he was returning from Nizamuddin Dargah. Latter it was used as Madrasa.

Khair ul Manazil means the best place to stay. It is a Mosque built by Akbar's wet nurse or foster mother. Masjid's building is in crumbling stage. Building is still erected due to its heavy wide walls. There is no any renovation works from ASI. Alhamdulillah, there is regular five times Prayer in Masjid being held every day.

Khair Ul Manzil means "the best of houses". Built around 1561 CE by Maham Anga, wet nurse of Mughal Emperor Akbar, this building originally included a Madrasa (Islamic School) along its courtyard which has mostly collapsed. The Mosque structure seems to be intact but in need of conservation. Tiny bits of the original Central Asian themed blue tile & mosaic work remains along the main arch of the mosque. There is no parking but you can park opposite the road at the National Zoological Park. Everything is flat so persons of reduced mobility can easily walk in. Being a place of worship, do dress modestly, no shorts for men or short dresses for women & avoid going on a Friday as most worshippers would be there on that day.
