★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to visit and see the cremation ground just on the bank of river Ganges. Nice atmosphere. It is used for the cremation of the president of Ramakrishna Mission.

It is the place where Swami Vivekananda's mortal remains were consigned to flame .This temple was dedicated to Swami Vivekananda on 28 January 1924 . Very quiet and serene atmosphere. One could feel the presence of Swami Vivekananda here. Ideal place for meditation and peace of mind.

Names are CLEARLY inscripted on the marble piece, along with their DOB & DOE -

2. Swami Ramakrishnananda
3. Swami Premananda
4. Swami Saradananda
5. Swami Subodhananda
6. Swami Shibananda
7. Swami Akhandananda
Even today the presidents and sometimes the vice-presidents of the Ramakrishna Order are cremated here.
The atmosphere is nice and calm and there's a big tree that flowers beautifully in a season. ??️
