It was founded by Dr. Verghese Kurien. The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) was created in 1965, fulfilling the desire of the then prime minister of India.
Just few steps from KARUNAMOYEE bus stand. Opposite of road side actually. Or rather you can say in opposite of Vidyasagar Bhaban in salt lake City.
It uses as vote booth in voting time. As campus it looks very good. Well cleaned building. Decorated very well by trees and small decorative items.

One can take any Karunamoyee bound Bus or Auto from Ultadanga Hudco more or Airport gate no.1 to reach here. It is situated very near to Karunamoyee Bus terminus just beside Karunamoyee Sulabh Complex.
