★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There was many misconceptions regarding working style but after visiting NMC office, I am proud to say that the working culture is totally changed. The employees are very helpful and ready to help. They deserve big appreciation for the work they are doing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located on Ghat road just before loha pul. Location is good and parking space is there. Though parking for specially abled is there the ramp is used for sitting purpose. Here you can pay property tax, water bill, get birth and death enrolled and get certificate. Office is surrounded by big green trees. Office premises looks messed up and it looks more like a dumping yard than an office. On the first floor they have marriage registration office and zonal office. Do not see any board that mentions maximum/ minimum time for carrying out the work done here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went today to put name of my newborn dauther here. They accept only if the hospital belongs into the same zone.
- I took the printout which hospital gave me.
- They will give you a small form to fill up.
- Just sign and fill up the form and give to counter.
- You can pay rs 20 for each copy of birth certificate but you will have to collect it after 2 or 3 days.
- Or you can pay rs 100 for each copy and get thr certificate aftern few minutes
- They did not ask for any other document which is good.
And thats it. Its that simple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Property tax is one of the main source of income of NMC. NMC website showing the facility of online payment of tax since past many years. But in practical purpose, there is no use of the facility and NMC depends of very old system of collection in cash at counter with their numerous old staff with out having basic idea of digital era. On 30th June 2021, I tried to deposit the tax online and found that the amount is debited but could not generate the receipt. With much difficulty I could contact Shri Goutam Patil, an officer of NMC and he send the receipt next day. In the website the actual amount to be paid is also not shown. I manually entered the amount after deducting the discount offered by the NMC. But in the record it still shows the discount amount which I reduced from the demand note is outstanding. It is not known, when NMC is able to complete the website as similar to the other utility payment like power supply bill, water supply bill etc. I think this may be due to some vested interested people, who don't want to improve the system of the Corporation.
