Next time definitely will go for private Insurance

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Offices of Public sector non- life Insurance Companies are usually not swanky as compared to private Insurance Companies and you may not come across a very warm Receptionist. But then that's not the purpose of taking insurance for your vehicle or household goods. I think where OIC scores over its competitors is in the area of claim settlement. Basis my over 2 decades of experience, I can say that OIC offers value for the premium one pays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Typical government place. Staff is cooperative but business mind is missing somewhere. I visited to renew the policy after the deadline, it was done but not at once - I needed to reason and push just because I visited 45 min before the closure time and staff was in mood of closure for the day.
I was also suggested to visit some private vehicle seller for renewal rather than this office - but again I pushed a bit and reason a bit for the same and work was done.
Somehow, this is the way government offices operates in India and this place was rather much cooperative in a comparative sense because I just needed to push once - so giving 3 stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Taking too much time . Upon that my name was written wrong again they made me sit 1hour . I cant claim my insurance bcoz i transfer my on going insurance from my dad to my name(son) .still they are saying you can't claim bcoz itz transferring to new person . They hav made diz new policy. This rule was not their before .

my only vehicle insurance claim was honoured, 2 yrs ago in total of 11 yrs with them till date.
