Parvati Hill is a hillock in Pune, India. The hillock rises to 2,100 feet (640 m) above sea level. Atop the hillock is the Parvati Temple, one of the most scenic locations in Pune. The temple is the oldest heritage structure in Pune and was built during the rule of the Peshwa dynasty. For visitors, Parvati hill is also an observation point that offers a panoramic view of Pune. It is the second highest point in Pune . The hill has 108 steps leading to the top of the hill where the temple is situated. The hill was owned by the Patil named Taware. Peshwa purchased the hill to build a temple of Shiva. The Devi temple was believed to be of Taware's kulswami whose angara was able to cure a leg ailment of Kashibai, mother of Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao. Thereafter, the Peshwa built a temple complex there. Must visit place in Pune

Parvati Hill is located in 15 mins distance from Sarasbaug, Center of Pune. It is a very small hill, on top of where we can find small temples of Shiva and Parvati, Lord Kartikeya, Rama, Vishnu and Vitthal, and also a small Museum. Even though it is a very small hill it carries a high historic value. If you love hiking or jogging simply go for a walk and take steps. Either you can walk upto the temple or simple take your two wheeler upto the hill. You can have a clear view of pune city. The Peshwe museum which is at the top of the hill is lovely . Would highly recommend to all those interested in Maratha History . Its well maintained and simple . temple is lovely too.

If you want to see the view of Pune from a mountain, then head to Parvati hill. This Hill temple was built by the Peshwa Rulers of Maratha Empire. This temple also provides Water Supply services to half of Pune through their Water Tank. Devdeveshwara (Shiva and Parvathi) are the deities of this temple Recommendations Do walk slowly and carefully as the Steps are flat, and it might help you in being less exhausted. Do watch the view of the city from the top, since this hill lies in the centre of the the city. Happy travelling :)
