★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Steer clear - they will be very keen to take your order, especially if it is an expensive item, and then will give you something that does not fit you, is the wrong colour, and will do nothing about it once it has been shipped to you.
I am Australian, and not of Indian background, and needed a sari to wear to a wedding in New York. I looked for a reputable designer and retailer online, and found Carma Online, selling Payal Singhal clothing,. The quality of the saris looked good, and the price seemed equivalent to a designer item, so I thought I would receive something beautiful that I could wear to the wedding.
The blouse and sari I ordered from Payal Singhal totalled USD 2,200. I was communicating with Deepika from Carma to provide my measurements and requirements. Payal Singhal directed to correspond directly with Carma, as originally I wanted to order direct from them.
Importantly, although I had asked, Deepika did not arrange to send for me samples of the work as it was being created. As it turned out the sari I received was a completely different colour (green, not blue), compared to the one I put in the order for. Also, the blouse was at least 4 inches too big in the bust, and too long, and smelled awful too (with rotten, chemical-like smell). Regarding the size, it seemed like the blouse has been made for completely different person of different dimensions (taller, and larger, with a bigger bust).
I tried to communicate with Carma and Payal Singhal, and Deepika, and the response was overwhelmingly unhelpful and unsatisfactory - they refused to do anything about the blouse or sari, other than to adjust the blouse (for which they said I would have to cover delivery costs both ways).
The sari is unwearable, I'm giving it away, and wearing one from another designer.
AVOID both Carma and Payal Singhal, at all costs.

Delhi has lots of choices for both Men and Women compared to the one in Altamont Road , Mumbai.Mumbai store has very few Men Selection. The Designer is awesome and makes Amazing Traditional indian Clothes. She is one of the finest Indian Designer.
