Radha Madhav Temple is a laterite ekratna temple, built in 1729 AD by Malla King Krishna Singha. By the side of this temple, there is a small brick chariot in the form of miniature temple.

Beautiful temple with four curved eaves (Chala) and one turret (Ratna), the temple was build by the Queen of the Malla dynasty. Compared with the other temples the plaster work over the temple remains much. It can be entered through a beautiful two eaved gateway which look very cute with the natural setting. The temple is well maintained by Archaeological Survey of India, Kolkata Circle.

Radha Madhav Temple is about 4km far from Bishnupur railway station. This temple was built by Rani Churamoni Debi, wife of Malla king Krishna Singha, in AD 1737. This south facing laterite temple with single SHIKHAR placed in the centre of the sloping roof, built upon a raised square plinth. There you find a script engraved on a metallic plate composed in contemporary language, strung on the front wall of the temple. The terracotta panels which are run to ruin in the rule of time carries the themes of contemporary sociel life. Here are some photos of the temple for you. Thank you.

Divinity & history go hand in hand at this spectacular temple, which is situated inside the massive complex of the Archeological Survey of India (ASI). It's certainly one of the most exquisite terracotta temples of Bishnupur. Although not enormous in terms of size, but the delicate temple architecture & ancient handmade designs on the walls will simply take your breath away. The ASI is doing a commendable job in conserving this historic heritage of Bengal. If you are travelling to Bishnupur then try to include this temple on your itinerary.??
